21  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Re:Muddy Dog Paw Jeans to Cool Dyed Jeans on: March 12, 2004 01:34:14 PM
Those look awesome!

I bet if you didn't want to go with a "color" you could even use dark blue dye and make the jeans indigo again... How come I never thought of that? Good idea.  Cheesy

***aaaaah!*** why didn't i ever think of this?  i've been so pist when my nice inky jeans turn all normal faded...

i wonder if the dye does anything to the machine???  we share our machine with the rest of the house.

i like the idea of re-vamping your jeans, cause, i don't know about you guys, but i keep my jeans FOREVER because i am obsessed with the perfect fit.  so this way, may be i can not get sick of the colors & mix it up a little?
22  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Re:Shampoo Bottle Window Thing on: March 12, 2004 01:27:52 PM
*i think they might look cool illuminated somehow... also, i see one has some marbles or something in it... they look cool, you might explore filling them with something?  it's so funny that they're shampoo bottles because they look really organic to me!

aaaaaaaaah! i love your dog.  she's beautiful.  i'm so so jealous.  my 14 yr. old pit bull / black lab mix just passed away this winter and i am dogless and sad.

26  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: General / Re:record clocks revisited... on: March 02, 2004 07:56:30 AM
1. take everything off of the mechanism (hands, bolts, etc.)

2. screw (twirl) the record onto the surface of the mechanism.  it might be a little tight, you might have to scrape a tiny bit off the inside of the hole, but careful cause you want the record to fit tightly onto the stem of the mechanism.

3. put the hands, bolts, etc. back onto the mechanism in reverse order.  it's imp. that you get them in the right order, and sometimes you might have to adjust them so that the clock actually works.  if you put them on too tight, the clock won't go and you'll be like "what the heck?"  like we were.

4. insert battery

5. tell time

*you can also add numbers, we saw this one online that had the #'s melted in, so it was in 3-d.  woah.

29  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Re:easy breezy apron on: March 01, 2004 09:37:00 AM
*you could use two bandanas and have them tie on the sides and this way you could make it into a skirt.  or a weird top?  what an awesome idea.
