10  Pennsylvania / Pennsylvania: Southeast / dead artists guild - saturday art market - west philly on: September 29, 2004 03:18:49 PM
hey guys, i went to this last week and i think it has major potential, just needs more vendors and more promotion.  xo  j.

I'm writing to remind all of you that the Dead Artists
Guild Saturday Art Markets at 4014 Walnut Street in
West Philadelphia are right around the corner V the
Markets will begin NEXT Saturday, September 25, and
run every Saturday until November 27th.

The markets bring together a diverse group of artists
V everyone from oil painters to fabric crafters to
printmakers, bookmakers, woodworkers, zine producers,
sculptors, and more.  The Dead Artists Guild will
provide a series of gazebos outside at the Rotunda
(4014 Walnut Street), under which all participating
artists can set up their displays or tables.

Each Saturday Market is open to the public from
11AM-4PM, with live acoustic music from noon-4PM (a
list of the musicians is at the bottom of this email).
The cost to participate is $10 per space per week
(multiple artists are welcome to share one 6-foot
space).  Well provide the gazebos, but you should
bring your own table or display Vsome tables are
available to rent from us at $10 per table, but we
need 2 weeks notice to reserve one for you.

If youre interested in participating, send me an
email with the dates you want to join us.
Participating artists should meet in front of the
Rotunda at 10AM on the day of the Market, all money
for participation will be collected on-site.  Since
all these events are outdoors, if we need to cancel
because of weather, we will notify anyone who has
contacted us by telephone on the morning of the
market, around 9AM.

If you have any questions, please email me at
danbiking@yahoo.com, or call me at (215) 879-3629.
Thanks to those of you who participated last time, and
we look forward to working with all of you over the
next ten weeks!
