Sorry for the wait - here's the hoop SiakelA and I collaborated on. Smiley

Here's what I sent her (forgive the artsy close-up - when my phone died, I was left only with this instagram photo I took):

And she added a sweet little seedling:

Thanks SiakelA, I'm sure looking at this on my hoop wall will cheer me up during the doldrums of winter! Smiley

Well I've been in Illinois for 3 weeks and see that I missed some fantastic hoops being posted! I returned home yesterday to find 2 amazing hoops waiting for me...what a nice welcome home! Smiley

Poison_of_Gull was inspired by an owl hoop on my pinterest that I love...it's PERFECT! Thank you so much!

deathbeforedishes made me a beautiful little red schoolhouse hoop. I adore the combo of "coloring" (colored pencil, I believe?) and stitching, and of course the sweet little beads! It is so cute!

Two fantastic additions to my hoop wall! And another huge thanks to my partners for being so patient while waiting for me to return to Texas...y'all are the best! Smiley

I received my package from ewulotta...she sent me this beautiful apron!

I love aprons and in fact have something of a collection, but I've never dared to make one myself (my sewing skills are rather limited). The colors are so pretty, and I love the way it looks on (tried to get an action shot, but failed). Thanks ewulotta!

4  The Kraken!! in Needlework: Completed Projects by juliel85 on: May 28, 2012 10:36:54 AM
I made this hoop for RebeccaJay in the Ongoing Hoopla Round 6 swap - here theme was "cryptozoology." It was inspired by (and closely modeled after) the artwork on the Kraken Rum bottle. I didn't want to let this one go!

Thanks for looking. Smiley

Thought I'd upload another pic of the Titus hoop so you can read the quote Smiley :

I received a fabulous hoop from thehappycrochetchic the other day. She chose something off my pinterest...I love what she did with it!

I think it's so cute how she made the kite string spell "fly." Thank you thehappycrochetchic!! Smiley

What a great week - I received TWO hoops! First, this great little "J" hoop from Homerof2:

It's done in gold thread and looks so sweet on my wall...BUT guess what, it also glows in the dark!! Homerof2, try as I might I just could not get a decent shot of it in the dark. If you have one, please post it! It looks so cool! Smiley

Then, I received my Chicago hoop from pennydreadfull. It's my first oval hoop, and it's fantastic! I love the caricature version of the skyline that she chose.

Thank you so much Homerof2 and Pennydreadfull! I just love both hoops!!

I received my Einstein hoop from IsikkahJai, and I love it!!

I've always loved that quote, and the little Einstein face is so awesome! Once again, I'm torn between adding this to the hoop wall or bringing it to the classroom...

Thanks so much, IsikkahJai!

I received a FANTASTIC hoop from Homerof2 yesterday! She combined two ideas from my pinterest: the "paper" from a hoop I liked, and the Dr. Seuss quote from my teacher inspiration board. Now I just don't know whether it should go on my hoop wall or in my classroom!

I know the pic isn't great, but the lines are blue like notebook paper. Thank you Homerof2!
