You read my mind. I've got a 40% off coupon for Joann's and was going to buy some for a dress for myself. It looks awesome!

The room looks amazing. On one level I think it'd be horribel to wake up with a hangover in there.

You can see the details so much better now! They look amazing. I'm sure they'll find a happy buyer someday.

Oh! and if you're going to be using lighting, go with two. Then put them on the left and the right, at about 45 degree angles. It helps with the shadows.

Some things to consider:

Using a gray background. The black and the white are very different. The gray gives the camera a nice neutral to read.

If you were to try lighting it with a more direct light (this of the clamp lights from walmart) you would want to cover it with something so it diffuses the light. People who want to invest can use the fancy umbrellas. Otherwise, use something like, a white sheer stretched over something. Even a coffee filter, if the light you're using is small enough. That way you don't get the really bad white spots.

I would suggest no flash.

Hope this makes sense.

Do you put anything sturdy to keey the bottom from sagging when heavier stuff is in it? Or because it's quilted it's not needed? It looks amazing!
9  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / what's a girl to do? on: April 16, 2007 03:00:57 PM
I am faced with a difficult question. I've decided to make my first sweater for myself. More specifically: http://www.knitty.com/ISSUEspring07/PATTcarolyn.html
I looked up the yarn it calls for, and it's really quite affordable. However, it's April and wool might not be fitting with the weather ahead. Also, some wools are itchy. I've never ordered yarn offline because I like seeing things with my own eyes.
I was considering: http://www.knitpicks.com/CotLin_YD5420162.html
But the colors don't have a great selection.

Any suggestions for some more seasoned knitters? It would be much appreciated.

Have you considered http://www.bettycrocker.com/Recipes/ ?
I've gone there more than once. I like the categories. Things are pretty easy to handle, nice varieties. And it's online and free.
