131  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Paper Crafts: Completed Projects: General / Bookmarks Galore! on: November 16, 2012 02:55:59 PM
I've been going bookmark crazy in the Shop the Swap!  I've been offering up a set of 5 bookmarks for 1pt.  So far I've had 4 claims of them, which is a lot of bookmarks!  For the most part they are watercolors w/ ink.  And in some occasions book pages or map pages.

I seem to me missing a set, but I will just add those to this post a little later when I get 'em uploaded.  Uploaded!  Yay!  Thanks for looking!

133  POTTERY, CERAMICS, POLYMER CLAY / Pottery, Ceramics, etc: Completed Projects / My first pottery class projects on: November 01, 2012 08:59:21 AM
I just completed my first set of pottery classes on wheel throwing, and its bittersweet, because it was an awesome experience and I'm sad that its over for now.  I'm planning on taking more classes in January.  Here are my first three completed projects in the class.  I still have a couple pieces that are being fired and then need to be glazed.  I will post those up once they are done.

Here they are!  A decanter, a little pot, and a mug.

HOW THIS SWAP WORKS:

Claims are made throughout the month.  You have two weeks from the time you make a claim to send that claim.

You can make as many (or as few, as little as 1) claims as you want throughout the month as long as you never go over your allowed amount of outstanding claims. (An outstanding claim is a card that has not been received; when that card is received your number of outstanding claims goes down leaving you open to bring it back up to 7 or 10.)

Posting pictures of received ATCs is required for this swap.

CLAIMING

1. Claims are made using the following procedure:

Person A (the swap organizer) will begin the swap by posting a list of themes in this swap thread.
Person B will choose a theme from one of A's themes and make a claim by posting his/her own list (see below for formatting of post).
Person C will make a claim on one of B's themes and post his/her own list.
Person D will make a claim on one of C's themes and post his/her own list etc...
This continues through the end of the month, when the swap organizer makes the final claim and closes out the claiming part of the swap.

2. How many claims can be made by each individual:

The number of claims each person is allowed depends on the following criteria:
*Friends of Craftster: 10 claims
*Those who aren't Friends of Craftster: 7 claims
*First time swappers (whether Friends of Craftster or not): 1 claim.  Once the initial claim has been sent, and its new owner has reported it received, the first time swapper is free to make more claims, either 7 or 10 dependent on being an FOC or not.

3. How to make a claim:

A claim post should include the following information:
1. The theme you are choosing and who youre sending it to.
2. Statistical info about your current swap claims status:
Claims = Claims currently outstanding (ie., how many not yet received by their new owners.) (This number goes down each time a claim is received, and up each time you make a claim.)
Sent = anything currently in the mail.
Received = the cards received by the people you've sent them to.
3. Your location.
4. Your personal preferences.
5. Your list of themes

135  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / ACCIO TOTE BAG! Harry Potter Charms Themed Bag on: October 16, 2012 12:39:02 PM
My partner, tankrgrl, chose Charms as her class for the Back to Hogwarts 3 swap.  I struggled for a while to decide what to do for it.  And then it dawned on me, rather late in the swap, too, that I should do a TM style bag!  YAY!  So, I buckled down and it went to together much quicker this time than my first HP bag.

Each patch represents a different charm spell!  Remember, flick and swish!

And a little charm keychain to with it!

138  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Artist Trading Cards (ATCs) / My Surprise Halloween ATC Swap ATCs on: October 02, 2012 11:55:21 AM
Hi there!  Here are the ATCs I made for the Surprise Halloween ATC Swap!  We had to make 3 random Halloween ATCs and send them to 3 random people.  It was quite fun!  ^_^

To make these, I found some free vintage photos online and had them printed through kinkos/fedex on some cardstock.  It worked out really well and it was pretty cheap, too!  I filled in the photos w/ watercolors.  Both the demon lady and the zombie has cheesecloth.  To apply it, I spread on some mod podge and then pressed on the cheesecloth.  I really like the effect it made!  I also employed my Elmer's painters paint pens to make the dots.  I'm really quite obsessed with them.  ^_^

140  IMAGE REPRODUCTION TECHNIQUES / Stenciling: Completed Projects / Snape's Patronus Shirt & A Claddagh shirt on: September 13, 2012 07:50:57 AM

I made two shirts last night with freezer paper stencils!  Yay!  Both took less than an hour each to make, too!

I saw a really cute shirt on pinterest, and it just called out to my cousin's style.  Though it needed some tweaking, design wise.  This is what I came up with!

I'm a huge fan of designs being on the bottom sides of shirts.  ^_^  Here is Snape's Patronus.

And a shirt for my pregnant best friend.

And some progress shots of the patronus shirt:
