2313  MORE ART, LESS CRAFT / More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works / Re: My first gallery exhibit!! (incredible amount of pictures) on: November 15, 2011 12:05:38 PM
Those are so beautiful and vibrant!  Just amazing!

I'm so curious about your method!  I just got into using watercolors (mainly on ATCs) and I have a set of the tube ones, as well.  So you drip it instead of paint it!  So wonderful!  I'm so excited to try!  Thank you so much for sharing and being so great about answering questions!  You are so inspiring!  <3
2314  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / Yeti Stuffie! Squeee!!! (WARNING: Lots of pictures!) on: November 15, 2011 10:20:40 AM
My partner in the One Tiny Stuffie Swap Round 8 listed mythical creatures as one of her desired stuffiness.  After some research, her Yeti came to life!

Meet Mogi!

Mogi is a from a pattern I made myself.  He is made of fur, blue felt for his face, safety eyes, and poly-fil!

Mogi's favorite pass times are building snowmen, making and eating snow cones and sledding.

Here's his furry little backside.  ^_^

And all dolled up and ready to be sent to his new home in Canada.  I also whipped up a quick watercolor of the stuffie that I sent along with him, since he's so handsome.  He has a tag that explains his likes, and the back explains that he suffers from major bed head and needs to be brushed regularly to maintain optimal handsomeness.

AAAAANNNNND I loved him so much, I made one for myself!  ^_^

Meet Migo, Mogi's twin brother!  (Yay for Yeti pals!)

Migo's loves snow shoeing, snow ball fights, and licking icicles.  He's a bit of a dare-devil!  And his hair shows for it, because no matter the grooming, it is untamible!

Furry backside shot and contemplative above shot!

Strike a pose, Migo!

Thanks for looking!  If anyone is interested, I would be willing to post my extremely simple pattern!
2315  IMAGE REPRODUCTION TECHNIQUES / Stenciling: Completed Projects / Tree Stenciled Tote on: November 15, 2011 09:32:54 AM
I recently participated in the FOC Raffle Swap Round 10.  For it you had to decide what your best craft was.  My husband told me it was stenciling.  So, I went with that.  ^_^  I used the freezer paper stencil method on a store-bought tote and fabric paint.

I found the design online.  The design is done in layers, starting with the green, which had some shimmer to it.  I'm not sure the order of the other colors.  I painted in the white accents with a brush at the end and glued on a bow for a little added interest.

Here is the bag in its entirety.

Thanks for looking!
2316  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / Re: Felt Dinosaur Christmas Stocking on: November 15, 2011 09:15:37 AM
What a cute idea!  The dino is so cool!  You did a beautiful job on the stitching!

I should totally make my husband a stocking as well.  It is also our second christmas together as a married couple.

I received some lovely cards today!

From Mod35TBabe for Artists Choice:

A stamped and embossed dragonfly on a really pretty background.

From RobinPich for Harry Potter ABCs:

T is for Time Turner and R is for the faces of Ron!  Aren't they cool!

And a personal swap from Brackish Potato that I thought I'd share with you all.  She sent me a dragon and one for my Harry Potter ABCs:

I love the burned edges on the dragon card and its so well drawn!  And look at the crocheted owl!  How cool!!!

And a extra!  An owl magnet since the owl got too big to fit on an ATC.  Yay!

Thanks for all the wonderful ATCs, ladies!
