Hiya everyone! I'm Jill, I'm 28 and I live in Washington State, USA. I'm good with nudity and profanity, but please nothing political or religious. My favorite things to do are reading (mainly fantasy/sci-fi), cooking/baking, playing video games with my husband, and crafting (duh!).

-A letter each for my last name COMPOGNO (Available: N,O) (I'd prefer these to all be verticle with the letter being larger on the card)
-the Letter J
-the Letter E (for my husband, Ethan)
-Mythical creatures
-Fireworks (my hubby is studying to get his pyrotechnics license)
-Your Location
-Anything from my book list on pinterest:    http://pinterest.com/jkingcompogno/2011-book-conquests/
-Curse words that aren't curse words, strange or silly exclamations (such as "shut the front door!", "poop on a stick!", or "great Odin's Raven!")
-Artist's Choice
2302  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / New Swap Theme Ideas / Re: Ongoing ATC swap discussion thread--3.0 on: December 04, 2011 07:05:37 PM
Hey I was just looking over the galleries for the ATCs for the last few months and I think I am going to sign up for it Smiley! Sounds like fun and like it will be cheaper then the other swaps I have been doing. But I have a few questions and I am pretty sure this is the place for questions for the swap... If not, I'm sorry Embarrassed

1. If it's a chain claim system then how do we get our partners address? I looked and they don't list them in there posts after they make a claim.

2. Do people tend to send them in a normal letter envelope? And dose it tend to take one stamp or more?

3. Most of the themes sound pretty broad, are more specific ones ok?

After you claim someone, you PM them and ask for their address and they will send it to you.  If they don't respond, I can always hook you up with their address.

Yes, they are sent in a normal envelope.  Most send them in a card so they stay safe on their trip.  If its just a card and an ATC and its not too thick, then you can do just a stamp.  I always add extras with my ATCs so I slap on an extra $.20 stamp for good measure.  I've never had anything come back to me saying I didn't have enough postage.

Specific themes are ok, but make sure you have a variety so more people would want to claim you.  It might hold up the swap if your themes are too narrow and no one wants to claim your themes.  Just a thought!  ^_^

Hope you join us!

Those are beautiful, I especially like the thistle.

Thanks!  The thistle is a picture I took when I was in Scotland.
2305  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Artist Trading Cards (ATCs) / ATCs crafted for the Work Your Theme Swap on: December 02, 2011 04:15:48 PM
After being in the Ongoing ATC swap for a couple months, a new ATC swap was discussed and created and started in August.  It was called the Work Your Theme Swap and its sole purpose was to start and/or complete a ATC series you had in your theme list.  It was a great swap and I got almost half of my Harry Potter alphabet collected in that swap alone.  Here are the ones that I made for it:

For Ragstostitches's red/black/white theme and Brackish Potato's KITCHEN theme.

For Jmiller614's Wonders of the World theme.

For MichelleCraftBasket's Pirate ABCs theme and GoatGoddess's Alphabet theme.

For Brackish Potato's Christmas Countdown theme and MintDawn's Dr. Who ABCs.

For CuriousCoffee's Zombie theme and Mod35TBabe's Tim Burton theme.

For Redstar13's Buffy the Vampire Slayer ABCs.

For gozer's Lost ABCs.

Thanks for looking!
2306  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Artist Trading Cards (ATCs) / October's ATCs on: December 02, 2011 03:13:20 PM
So, I was going to wait until the end of the year and post all the ATCs I've done for the year together, but then I realized that I've done over 90 ATCs this year, and that would be one picture intense post.  So, my friend gozer, suggested that I break it up into months.  Great idea!  So, I will start with October.

Here are all the cards I made for October's Ongoing ATC Swap (and a couple personal swaps, as well)!

For Mountain and Clouds for her ATC sized tarot cards theme.

For Robinpich's Typography theme and Imera's mythological creatures theme.

For Mooseyy's Narwhal theme and for knitpurl's cat theme.

For gozer's Maggie Stiefvator theme and coryjo's Halloween theme.

For Calluna's well dressed animals theme and coryjo's flowers theme.

For Brackish Potato's Christmas Countdown theme.

For Brackish Potato's Christmas Countdown theme and Mod35TBabe's old Hollywood glamour theme.

For RosyPosy's obscure mythological creature theme and Angelicus's bra theme.

Thanks for looking!

Jillybeans - love the 18 card. Very festive! Like the colors and glitter and very neatly done.
C*lientje - Your kissing 10 card made me giggle. I don't know why but it makes me laugh a little every time I see it! Too cute. It makes me smile!

I totally cheated and used an old gift tag I had for the glittery background.  ^_^

oh wow, dawn, those are lovely!  I especially love the green!
2308  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Winter Holidays / Blue and Silver Wreath on: December 02, 2011 01:52:40 PM
My sister loved the idea of a homemade wreath.  I made one for myself and after I saw how she decorated her Christmas tree I set out to make her one!  She did blue and silver on her tree with an emphasis on snowflakes.  With that in mind, I set off to Michaels and got the supplies and put together her wreath.

Here it is hanging on my door.  I first attached a string of battery operated lights to the wreath and wired it onto the back.  Next I put on the blue snowflake ornaments using thin wire.  I shoved in the silver leaves stems on either side, then the curly stems, and then the sequin stems.  I found some ornaments that were on long wires meant for what I was doing and stuck them in randomly and then added the tiny little snowflake ornaments.  Done!

Thanks for looking!
