So I painted another Frozen themed pair of shoes for my Mommy group. This this with Elsa and Olaf. The shoes were a plain tan toddler size canvas shoes that I painted with Tulip soft fabric paint and brushes.
Augustbell, I like to thin down my paint for the first layer on the shoes so that it does absorb into the shoe. I find that after that first layer dries, the paint goes on easier. But, if not thinned it really doesn't absorb at all! As for blending, I just go quick before my layers dries, which it does pretty fast!
Here is yet another pair of painted shoes that I made for a mom in my Facebook Mom's group. This is one of my favorites! The shoes are a toddler plain black canvas shoe painted with Tulip soft fabric paint using brushes. The mom wanted the Cheshshire cat on one side and the watch on the other. I tried to make the watch look like it was falling down the rabbit hole. I'll post some post some WIP pictures later.
I received an awesome whimsical card today from elliot_anne! Thanks so much! I'm sure Dr. Suess with become more near and dear to my heart everyday since I do seem to read a lot of his books to my toddler. I also love that the design extended onto the envelope. How totally clever?! Thanks so much!!
