41  Re: 50 Projects 2015 --POST YOUR 2015 Lists in Craftalongs by jillybeans on: August 20, 2015 08:29:57 PM
Everyday I'm hussling!  At least that's what it feels like!  Ready for more projects?  Here is what I've done in the last week.  And I still have a couple more to do tomorrow!  Whew!

A doll and matching skirt for my cousin's daughter's 2nd birthday.

A couple of cotton skirts for my cousin's daughter's 2nd birthday.

A pair of painted Seahawks shoes for my cousin's daughter's 2nd birthday.

A pair of Seahawks shoes for my nephew's birthday.  His party is this saturday.

Another etsy order, a painted pair of Daniel Tiger toddler shoes.

Tomorrow I'm going to (hopefully) stencil a couple shirts, make a pie, and make beer candied bacon (my nephew is so weird, its what he always wants for his birthdays the past couple years.  He is 10!).

43  Disney Themed Painted Toddler Shoes in Shoes: Completed Projects by jillybeans on: August 13, 2015 07:36:18 AM
Here are a pair of Disney themed shoes for a mom who's boy is going to Disney for his 2nd birthday.  How exciting!  She didn't have anything specific in mind, so I decided to go crazy and just a bunch of different characters on the shoes.  The shoes were a plain black canvas, toddler-sized, shoe painted with Tulip soft fabric paints and brushes.

And here are some progress pictures:

I'm pretty proud of these.  They took forever and I think the characters turned out awesome for my freehanded skills.  ^_^  Thanks for looking!

The shoes were a plain tan, toddler sized, canvas shoe painted with Tulip soft fabric paint and brushes.

Thanks for looking!

46  Hermoine Doll in Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects by jillybeans on: August 12, 2015 07:51:56 PM
Hi there!  So I participated in the One Awesome Harry Potter Thing (OAHPT) - Round 2 Swap.  I was partnered with the awesome elliot_anne and we both have toddlers.  We decided to each make something for the other's girl.  I decided to make her a doll.  I used this wonderful pattern and tutorial to make her:  http://www.makeit-loveit.com/2013/02/girl-boy-fabric-dolls-pattern-pieces-included.html

Her hair is fleece, because I wanted it to be soft and cuddly.  Her face was embroidered.

I sewed on ribbon to give her some Griffindor colors, but sadly I did it a little low and it gets covered up by the skirt.  Oh well!  Her scarf is made of felt strips sewn together.  I love how she turned out.  Baby bean will definitely be getting one for her birthday!  ^_^

Thanks for looking!  Smiley

*Everyone is welcome and encouraged to join this swap!  Sign-ups are open all month--YAY!  PM me the above questionnaire to get started, and please wait to be accepted into the swap before making any claims. **Please make sure you are not late or flakey in any of your other swaps, and that you have good communication.** This is a super-uber-amazingly-stupendous swap, So Have Fun!

Claims are made throughout the month.  You have two weeks from the time you make a claim to send that claim.

You can make as many (or as few, as little as 1) claims as you want throughout the month as long as you never go over your allowed amount of outstanding claims. (An outstanding claim is a card that has not been received; when that card is received your number of outstanding claims goes down leaving you open to bring it back up to 7 or 10.)

Posting pictures of received ATCs is required for this swap.

1. Claims are made using the following procedure:

Person A (the swap organizer) will begin the swap by posting a list of themes in this swap thread.
Person B will choose a theme from one of A's themes and make a claim by posting his/her own list (see below for formatting of post).
Person C will make a claim on one of B's themes and post his/her own list.
Person D will make a claim on one of C's themes and post his/her own list etc...
This continues through the end of the month, when the swap organizer makes the final claim and closes out the claiming part of the swap.

2. How many claims can be made by each individual:

The number of claims each person is allowed depends on the following criteria:
*Friends of Craftster: 10 claims
*Those who aren't Friends of Craftster: 7 claims
*First time swappers (whether Friends of Craftster or not): 1 claim.  Once the initial claim has been sent, and its new owner has reported it received, the first time swapper is free to make more claims, either 7 or 10 dependent on being an FOC or not.

3. How to make a claim:

A claim post should include the following information:
1. The theme you are choosing and who youre sending it to.
2. Statistical info about your current swap claims status:
Claims = Claims currently outstanding (ie., how many not yet received by their new owners.) (This number goes down each time a claim is received, and up each time you make a claim.)
Sent = anything currently in the mail.
Received = the cards received by the people you've sent them to.
3. Your location.
4. Your personal preferences.
5. Your list of themes

I claim GenericFabulosaSwapper for heffalumps/weasels ATC.

3 claims, 2 sent, 1 received

I live in Massachusetts, USA.  I would prefer not to receive anything violent, political, or religious.

My themes are:
1)   Spring Flowers
2)   Dancing in the Rain
3)   Naughty Spoons
4)   Inspiring Quotes
5)   Your Favorite Medium

1. Send a personal message to the person you have claimed and request their address.
2. You have 2 weeks to complete each card, and have it in the mail to its new owner.

1. Please PM the organizer when you send or receive a card.  (It's also good to notify the person you received from or are sending to.)
2.  Please include one of these at the title of the message: August ATC Swap--Sent or August ATC Swap--Received (Be sure to include the month, since I generally run multiple months at a time)
3.  Be sure and include (1) the "send by" date, as well as (2) the theme and (3)who sent it to (4)whom, in each message to the ATC swap organizer, when you're referring to sent or received ATCs.  (That's four juicy pieces of important information that make my life as a swap organizer OH so easy!) Easy as pie!

For example, you could use this format:
I sent some ATCs today!

MeCraftsterMemberBloop --> YowzaSwapper (fantasmic theme)

MeCraftsterMemberBloop --> WowwieSwapsper (stupendous theme)
MeCraftsterMemberBloop -->WooHooYeeHawSwapper 07 (yet another fascinating theme)

This lets the organizer easily access the swap info, so it can be updated.

It is OH so important to post pictures of the amazing cards you receive!  This is the best way in the world to let it be known how special it is that you've received a wonderful treasure of someone else's creativity!

Please post pictures/scans of your received cards in the swap gallery (or make arrangements with your partner to do so).

Positive feedback will be given when all of the cards you sent have been received.   Good communication is always cool!  And be sure and post those pictures in the swap gallery!

If you have any questions please post them in the discussion thread or PM the organizer, jillybeans.  This thread is specifically for claims only.

48  Re: One Awesome Harry Potter Thing (OAHPT) - Round 2 Gallery in The Swap Gallery by jillybeans on: July 20, 2015 02:05:26 PM
Omg, elliot_anne, blueberry is SO CUTE!  Those curls!!!  <3  I kept hoping that baby bean would get curls like her daddy but she got my fine, straight hair instead.

Ugh, sorry for the slow picture posting.  I received an amazing package from elliot_anne.  It is a christmas package from Mrs. Weasley!  SQUEE!  So flipping exciting!  So, when i opned the box inside was an old makeup case which is serious awesomesauce.  I love old luggage and boxes!!!  Inside was a whole lot of fun!

So inside was a note from Molly Weasley wishing baby bean and I a merry christmas.  There were a few wrapped presents and a hufflepuff scarf that Mrs. Weasley said I accidentally left at her house.

Inside the wrapped presents were a set of 4 hexie coasters in the house colors as well as some potions.

Inside another of the 2 wrapped packages were gifts for baby bean.  Felt scenes with felt HP charactes!!!  So cute!!!!  They all so cute!!  Brie loved, them too!

She also sent some mother/daughter matching headbands!  They fit great!

Thanks for the awesome package!
