1  Craft Swaps / ARCHIVE OF SWAPS THAT ARE TOTALLY FINISHED / Re: ONGOING ATC SWAP - JUNE 2012 (Signups Open, Claiming Starts June 1st) on: June 06, 2012 02:49:55 PM
Hi!  I claim Spikefan for Willy Wonka  Smiley

This is my first ATC Swap and I'm pretty excited, so my stats are 1/0/0!

My name is Hollie and I live in Minnneapolis, Minnesota.

I'm really interested in any kind of ATC artistic expression, so feel free to not limit yourself as far as style and content is concerned.

Some themes I dig are:

Vintage Fashion
40's or 50's Kitchen-y kinda stuff
Dick & Jane
Baking - love me some cupcakes!
Where the Wild Things Are
Flags
Vintage Movie Posters

Thanks and happy swapping!

6  HOME SWEET HOME / Interior Decorating: Discussion and Questions / Re: Great Ideas for Interior Decorating Without Painting on: May 01, 2012 09:22:48 AM
I just moved to an adorable apartment but can't (and don't really wanna) paint, so I starched awesome fabric to my walls like this: http://www.mattandshari.com/decorating-ideas/starching-fabric-to-walls-new.html and it worked out SO WELL[/size]!!!!

7  CLOTHING / Clothing: Discussion and Questions / Re: Using fabric "book panels" in adult clothing? on: May 01, 2012 07:43:44 AM
It's super hard to use even these super cute blocks on adult clothing and not look like you're trying to be silly...but I was thinking how cute and would these blocks be as elbow patches on a cool cardigan or sweater (depending on how big they are)?! Cheesy one on each elbow....you can use fabric adhesive to put them in place and then hand stitch with a thicker, neutral thread around the edges for some subtle quirkiness!

Can't wait to hear what you wind up doing with them!

9  REUSING/RECYCLING/RECRAFTING / What the heck can I do with THIS? / Re: What to do with Beneful plastic containers? on: April 27, 2012 12:57:22 PM
If you're short on storage space, like me, you could drill a thin piece of metal sheeting to the inner wall/side wall of a cabinet then attach magnets to the backs of the containers, depending on how big they are.  Put craft things/spices/bathroom items (like q-tips, cotton, tweezers, etc) in them and use them as vertical storage!  If the lids are plastic, use a write-on-wipe-off marker to label them!
