1  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Discussion and Questions / Any Ideas on How to Display Button Pins? on: December 29, 2009 08:39:38 AM
Hey everyone!
I recently found a bunch of my old button pins from the past! I wanted to display them rather than just keep them in a ziplock bag. Any ideas on how I could do this? I was thinking of a cork board but I want them to lay flat.

Something like this:

Thanks for the help!

3  COOKING / Recipes and Cooking Tips / Do Clams Exist in Chicago? on: September 23, 2008 12:45:27 PM
Hey all!
So upon returning from a short vacation in California, I wanted to bring the wonderful San Fran Clam Chowda back to Chicago. However, i'm having the hardest time finding clams! Any suggestions or places that you know sell shucked clams?? The Campbells 'New England Clam Chowder' just doesn't cut it..

happy cooking!

5  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Knit Question? on: September 22, 2007 08:09:34 AM
I'm having trouble locating some instructions in a knitting book I have about how to 'embroider' on a knit item. I don't really know how to explain it. It looks like embroidery but i think you crochet it on top of your knitted piece. If anyone knows what I'm talking about or can better explain this, your more than welcome to!
ps. it looks like this.

Hey Everyone?!
Well, being the crafty, poor college student that I am, I've been thinking about what to do when Christmas comes along. I'm thinking about knitting a little something for my friends and family, but I just can't think of what?!!

8  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Discussion and Questions / Desperately Seeking Earrings! on: June 09, 2007 09:19:47 AM
Hey everyone!
I have been searching high and low trying to find a pair of earrings. I guess the best way I can describe them is that they look like small plugs but, there not. I've looked under 'fake plugs' and I couldn't find them. The color I'm looking for is like a dark mahagony or a black. Nothing too big, just cute. I've seen alot of 'seensters' girls wearing them. If you have the slightest idea of what I'm talking about, please respond. It would be awesome if a picture could be posted too...Ill keep looking!

Hey everyone!
I've been really wanting to learn how to knit with double pointed needles so I can finally make socks! Are there any good tutorials out there that would teach me the basics?
