1  Corset Look Bag in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General by PunkyGeek on: June 11, 2005 05:01:17 AM
I made this bag out of an old pair of pants I had that was never gonna wear again along with some $1 a yard fabric from evil wal mart.  It is strung together with some bulky yarn.

Close up.

Showing the lining.

2  celtic raven jacket in Clothing: Completed Projects: General by PunkyGeek on: May 06, 2005 09:54:15 AM
I made this a couple years ago, but since I just joined in March and it's only now gotten warm enough to pull this out to wear, I thought I would share it.
I designed it based on the back of a cape worn on a statue of the Morrigan.  Designed on graph paper, then traced the outline to iron-on transfer paper, ironed it on the jacket then painted it up with fabric paint.  It's been through a couple washes, so some of the edges are not as straight as they used to be, but still looks good (at least I think so,  lol)

Here's a close-up

4  hot pink purse in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General by PunkyGeek on: May 06, 2005 09:43:23 AM
I made this out of some fabric I found at evil Walmart for $1 a yard.  I cut a 10"X8.5" rectangle out of both the pink fabric and the black hearty fabric, stacked em together and cut a diagonal piece out of them.  I then sewed the diagonal pieces onto the "wrong" fabric.  I based the construction on the lined zipper tute and added a strap and an inside pocket.  My grandmother-in-law just asked me to make her one!  lol

Here it is full of stuff and standing on it's own, this is the front.

Here is the back.

Here it is open so you can see the pocket and the flannel stipe lining.

5  second ever knitting project: teddy bear! in Knitting: Completed Projects by PunkyGeek on: April 26, 2005 08:43:09 AM
After finishing a boring scarf, I decided I needed more of a challenge.  I am a long time crocheter and recently taught myself to knit.  I can't believe how easy it is!  So here is my bear.  He's ugly but that makes him cute.  He is made of Bernat's Denim Style yarn in Stonewash (blue) and Canvas (white).  I got the pattern from http://www.sullivans.net
