Amazing blanket!

Can I count this as finished even though the clasp system doesn't work and I can't figure out how to polish the copper beads without harming the green ones?

2  Peyote Arm Band in Beads: Completed Projects by PimpernelSmith on: August 12, 2011 11:02:17 AM

Does this count as completed even though the clasp system doesn't work, and I can't figure out how to polish the copper beads without harming the green ones?

Peyote stitch, delica beads, nemo thread.

Suggestions for proper finishing WELCOME!   Wink

Finally got something else done!  A birthday gift for our niece: Dora nap set!

No independent thread, but a picture in the gallery.

Shocked Wow! Spring seems to really be energizing people -- Kudos!

I got two tiny -- but very useful (and therefore satisfying) -- things done.  Wink

One: I got the seeds for my garden started.  Not worth a picture, as egg cartons full of dirt are neither exciting nor aesthetically pleasing to look at.  But last year I never got my garden in at ALL, so....

Two: A wee glove holder to keep medical gloves at hand.  Too simple for it's own thread, but I love the fabric so much that I just have to share a photo here!

It holds one pair of gloves.  Here it is attached to my watch (can't wear wrist watches when lifting students), which has developed into a sort of chatelaine -- watch, meds bottle, hand sanitizer, and gloves.

I gotta say, it really REALLY helps to get things done when you stick your sewing machine in the middle of the living room!  Grin

Another wee thingy completed: Tea Wallet!   Shocked

Of course, since I'm not a knowledgeable sewer, I have discovered one problem with my design...If the wallet tips, the tea falls out!   Roll Eyes  Any suggestions on a way to fix that will be gratefully received!   Smiley

7  Tea Wallet! (...if the tea will just stay IN it...) in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General by PimpernelSmith on: April 03, 2011 08:39:32 PM

I have attempted to make a tea wallet!  Given how poor my sewing skills are, I'm pretty happy with the outcome...

This is where I discovered my mistake -- if the wallet tips, the tea falls out!  ANY suggestions for fixing this gratefully received!

Tiny 'whoop!' -- I finished something.  A small something, and far from perfectly, but something.
In specific, a scarf and fingerless mitts.

9  Palindrome Scarf & Fingerless Gloves in Knitting: Completed Projects by PimpernelSmith on: March 27, 2011 09:04:40 PM

Hi,

Finally finished something!  But only because of my commitment to defying my 'It's-not-good-frog-it-forever-and-never-let-it-be-seen' genes.

The pattern for the reversible cable scarf is from Ravelry, and is called Palindrome; it is a spin off another Ravelry pattern called Irish Hiking Scarf.

The mitts I made up...and ran out of yarn on...and they SOOoooooo do not match....just as the two ends of the scarf do not match...AND I DO NOT CARE I LIKE THEM....   Grin Embarrassed Wink

Okay, I've almost got a project done, but I need some help.  Any experienced knitters care to tell me the best way to secure the strands of my braided scarf?
