I made this table runner for my table on Thanksgiving.  We are having a bunch of friends over.  It's made out of felt reinforced with interfacing and the veins are metallic thread sewn on by machine.  It took a lot of time to cut them all out and sew them, but it was worth it!  I can't wait for Thanksgiving!

I made this box for a handmade gift exchange.  The flowers are gingham fabric with fusible interfacing on the back to prevent fraying. The stems, bow, and orange stripe are all ribbon.  The lining in the bottom of the lid and box are paper.  Finally, the centers of the flowers are buttons.

When preparing for the gift exchange I knew I wanted to do a mixed media project but I also wanted to use only things I already had.  I'm really happy that I was able to come up with something really cute without spending any money.  I really hope my partner likes it and that you do too!

This would work great for your girl or boy!  Spring is here in Michigan, but we live out in the country and the Michigan wind is fierce!  I felt bad putting a winter coat on my daughter to go play outside, but she needed more than just a top.  I had these fleece pajamas laying around and so I decided to turn them into a little coat for her to play outside in!

I saw an advertisement in my newspaper for this shirt a few weeks ago.  Being a stay at home mom on a tight budget, this shirt was way out of my range.  I decided i wanted to try a recon of a shirt to make one for myself!  The knit is so much more mom friendly.  If my kids get something on it I can just throw it into the wash instead of having to get it dry cleaned.

I just made these great little overalls for my daughter!  I used an old sheet from the thrift store as the fabric and paid 1.99 for the pattern.  My biggest tip: Never pay full price for a pattern!
 
If you want to make a pair for your little one the pattern I used was: Butterick 5625  and I got it at my local national chain fabric store. (I don't know if its ok for me to say the name)

I wanted to make my kids their own easter baskets this year and so this is what I came up with!  I love working with felt because its so easy.  I also wanted to make it a No Sew project.

If anyone has any tips for doing the handle a better way, I would love them!

When I saw this challenge I immediately wanted to do something that reminded me of a picket fence.  I love making new centerpieces for our family table and I love that this one doubles as a dessert tray!  Please don't judge me on my cookie baking/decorating abilities.  That's definitely not something that comes naturally to me.
