Little funny Tortoise made with 3mm hook and Amigurumi technique.

The finished tortoise is approximately 7 cm long and 6 cm high.

The Tortoise can be used as decoration, toy or as pincushion

No worries every one of us at the beginning was "lost" with pattern, but when you learn very few tips it is easy.
I found a lot of useful tutorial around the internet and usually prefer the ones with images, I'm sure also on craftster you can find something useful but I do not know where, so, for what I can help you:

FO= finish off you use at the end of the work pulling the yarn through the last chain on the hook and you can then cut the yarn
ss= slip stitch this is the lowest stitch in crocheting
Dcfp= double crochet front post
sk= skip
