1  CLOTHING / Clothing for Kids: Completed Projects / Easter outfits for my kids on: April 24, 2011 06:22:49 PM
So I had three days to make my kids Easter outfits. I did not use patterns, I simply pinned the fabric to my kids. I made my 5 year old a fitted dress out of 1/2 yard of floral print. 1- 20" by 4" piece of green and 3- 20" by 2" pink pieces. With the left overs I made the strap covers and a hair band. For my 2 year old I made a semi pillow case dress out of less than 1/2" yard of blue and a smidgen of pink. All of these are hand sown. I am happy with the way they came out, given the short time frame  Smiley Sorry for the bad pics but it is hard to keep my kids still  Tongue

2  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / My first time making cloths on: April 14, 2011 12:38:19 PM
Well to start off i will let you know that my hand sewing skills are non-existent and I do not own a sewing machine either.  Undecided

So on that note, I think they came out well enough considering all of it is shabbily hand stitched. I made a hooded long sleeved shirt out of an over sized thrift store band shirt and an old sheet from my closet. I also made a pair of over sized wrap pants.

If you have any suggestions on making them better or any tips...any at all, they would be greatly appreciated! THANKS

3  CLOTHING / Shoes: Completed Projects / First time painting shoes! on: April 11, 2011 09:03:35 AM
Well this is the first time I have tried painting on shoes (and my first time posting on Craftster). I found some old shoes in the bottom of my closet and was going to throw them out. Then I decided to try my hand at painting shoes. Well the end result didn't turn out as good as I hoped (because I rushed Undecided) but I did end up with a pair of shoes that I could actually go out side in. Here are some before and after shots! Thanks for looking!
