If you're ever up for it, I drive to Olympia to meet up with friends once a month. One works at Shipwreck Beads in Lacey, which is "the World's Largest Bead Selection". I used to work there too, so I can attest for it being HUGE. The natural stone selection isn't great, just because (like MOST bead places) they're not true stone... usually they're a replica made with glass... but they've got an increasingly large amount of sterling and gold fill findings, they've got a large selection of the mid-priced tools- no fancy German stuff!
A lot of the Seattle stores just go there to buy their stuff wholesale... so you can find tons of the same things at a different price. The website is: www.shipwreck.com
. Also! The owner is a jerk but his family pretty much rules. So it's hard to say whether it's bad to support this place.
