1  wood and twine necklace in Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General by xcaret on: May 08, 2006 01:14:09 PM
hello there: this a necklace that i really wanted to make, originally is by BeaG  http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=88556.0
but she used crocheted beads, so since the only thing that i know in crochet is just the simple chain, i had to improvise, so  got my wooden beads at wallmart and i just glued twine from the dollard store around the beads, with tacky glue, then i made a long chain with the same twine that later i passed trough the beads and voila!

this is a close up of the beads..
thanks for looking and thanks BeaG for this idea!! Cheesy

here is how it looks, is shorter than the gold necklace, is 14 inches total...the size of the beads don't think that mater, both necklace are made with very irregular shape of beads here in canada some beads stores don't put size, i have a chart that show me the size..
