71  ceiling decoration in Interior Decorating: Completed Projects by BirdBones on: March 25, 2011 06:04:59 AM
Ever wonder how to make your ceiling prettier without actually having to paint it?
Heres how: you take a huge piece of paper in a shape that matches the room, leave a hole in the middle for the wiring for lamps, doodle on it and then stick it in the middle of ceiling with double-sided tape! =)

Here is an example:

and this is how the one in my hallway looks:

Thank you for looking and let me see, if you make one yourself! =)

72  camera bags to match exisiting purses in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General by BirdBones on: March 25, 2011 05:50:20 AM
Since I recently got a new camera, I had to make little bags to transport it in. They had to be really simple, because Id like to just whip out my camera and snap a picture. So here they are

and here are the purses they match:

details for purses:
black and white: made from all kinds of leftover fabric
purple: revamped old 50s purse- I pretty much just used the old handle, covering is made from velvet
pink+black: made from an old pair of pants and a pillowcover I found at a flea market

Thank you for looking!=)

73  fluffy monster bag in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General by BirdBones on: March 25, 2011 05:29:59 AM
I made this one to be able to transport my netbook, hence it is quite huge. Also, I ended up handstiching the whole thing, since my sewing machine had an attitude-day. The stitching is a little flimsy, but it can stand a lot of weight and because I love ribbons, the bag only has one zipper inside, the rest is closed by ribbons.

and this is the inside with the extra bags for the computer stuff:

thank you for looking =)

74  fire-outfit in Clothing: Completed Projects: General by BirdBones on: March 23, 2011 09:53:27 AM
I found this amazing orange-black jersey fabric at a market and just HAD to make an outfit. The jacket can be tied in front and has rectangular sleeves. The skirt was inspired by one I bought at a second hand store with triangular pockets. Here it is:

75  small Lolita-inspired hat in Clothing: Completed Projects: General by BirdBones on: March 23, 2011 09:44:22 AM
I needed something to top off an outfit with some pink in it and Id wanted to try making one of those tiny hats anyhow. I used some leftover fabric, some ribbons, lace and a fake flower and this is the result:

76  bathroom-fun: a toiletpaper animal in Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: General by BirdBones on: March 23, 2011 09:28:34 AM
Since I love all things furry, but like the combination of useful+ funny, I made a toiletpaper-animal. Just for myself at first, but visiting people often end up asking for their own, so here is one:

Well, what to give someone for Easter? Anything egg-themed? Well, no. I came up with these Easter chickens instead.

78  lids for huge watercontainers in Exterior Decorating / Yard Art / Gardening: Completed Projects by BirdBones on: March 23, 2011 09:07:22 AM
My boyfriends mother redid her garden and ended up with huge, ugly watercontainers destroying the scenery, so she asked me to do something about that. This is what I came up with:
(made from mostly papermache, a little paint, felt leaves and some seahells)

since i tend to put eyes on many things I make, I ended up putting eyes on this christmas present for a friend. I also ended up using some of my old dreadlocks... I just love furry things.
