I received from cackle today. Of course it's all wonderful, it's by cackle! I will let the images speak for themselves, but I have to mention the card because I tend to pick up snakes with abandon and no worry of getting hurt, lol.

All completely cool and going into our EG inspired bedroom! Thank you so much cackle!
I received from Trick McVomit today, and boy was it worth the wait!
My box was the base for a bottle with an octopus. Octopi were one of my themes, and you would not believe how cool this is. It's almost impossible to tell how she got the octopus in there, even up close. Very nice work on him(he's named Paul, as they are all Paul to me).
Inside the box we have buttons(which I collect) several of which are going in the "permanent collection". My favorites are the little green one, which actually has a scroll design on it, the teeny star(it's really tiny!) of course the octopus, and the practically microscopic dragonfly(my sister is going to get that in a crafted item). Also the vintage white ones which in button collecting are called "2 part snap togethers". She also included some beautiful gems, which I am pretty sure are real(!). And some fancy rusty keys, and finally, that awesome necklace of the tiniest thimble ever made into a pin cushion. How cute is that???
Very happy, Tricky, and glad to see you got more...clowns...there.
Finally uploading some pictures! I received this fantastic purple knit deerstalker hat from lillibo. I never look good in hats, and they never fit me. I don't know if i have a weird head or what. This fits perfect, it's my best color on me, and it's convertible! We just got a pile of snow and it's been about 12 degrees F here every day, so it's been much appreciated. She also sent some "retro" U.K. candy, which for me was "new fangled" since I've never had any of them(and that's hard to do, I love candy!). So here's the awesome hat:
I received my final card from AuntieKar today. I was wistful about sending off my glow in the dark card, and she sent me one of my own. It's really glow-y too. Thanks AuntiKar!
I received my box yesterday from whitterp. She did a very nice job. She made me a needle book which curiously is similar to an idea I had for her (wink, wink). She also made me two custom hooplas and included fabric for me to make my own, including one she made with an anatomical heart, and clearly she understands my strange sense of humor(because I told her I would like anything she would put her heart into). A sweet owl stuffie, adorable! There are also stickers, a now empty bag of Jelly Belly candy corn, and a funny card which is an invitation to this swap, lol. And she sent a set of Halloween cards for me to use. Awesome package, so many things I wanted needed.
Received my second card from AluraCeleste! It came in a cute handmade card, and it is two very joyous skeletons dancing on a colorful background. I love it, and it goes well with the ones I received from Skrabadoo. I think I will frame them as a set!
Yay, I got my first card(s) today! When I saw the sender was Skrabadoo, I was like "Ooooo I am lucky, these are gonna be good!" I was right! The little bat one came with his wings folded which I think is adorable. My husband is the photographer, though and he likes the wings open because they say Eek, like my username . The next one is a trick or treater, and the candy is 3D and I couldn't stop touching them, lol. Nice cards, my first ones I have ever received! Thanks Skrabadoo!
So here are my final partner pieces, sent from Smmarrt. They are fantastic skeletons, one in b&w, and one in a grey on black. They go really cute by their neighboring pieces! The grey and black one looks like a critter from one of the other ones is sitting on it's shoulder, lol. Thanks Smmarrt!
I hope noone minds, but I thought I would show some pieces a friend of mine altered for this puzzle. She is waiting for a liver transplant, and I told her no pressure, if you can't do them, just be sure to send them back or else I can't put my puzzle together! She did them though, and they are pretty and go well with all the other pieces.
and lastly, until I get the whole thing finished, here are some of the border pieces I did:
This has been so fun, I can't wait to finish all the rest and put it together!
I received from seeuudee and as you can see here, she did a beautiful job. The little Edward Gorey opera balcony is actually 3D, and the little balcony sticks out a little, making it look like the little people are really there. The Jack and Sally one has a glittery moon, and both of them have velvet accents and sparkly gems. Where they are situated on my puzzle is amazingly continuous for being random. Thanks so much seeuudee!
I still have a little bit to work on, and a friend who is ill is doing two more pieces to pass the time. Once it's finished I will post a picture of the entire thing.
It's a little way down the road here, but I just got an angel package from waterbaby. It is amazing! Be prepared to wist/pin/sigh.
First, a cunning coffee cozy that Jayne Cobb would be proud to have:
I knew what it was the minute I opened the package, lol. Damn fine cozy.
Second, she stitched an Alfred Hitchcock Presents mini hoopla. It is adorable and will go perfectly in our bedroom that has a black/white/ecru theme. And she put a bird on it! Get it?
Third we have a brain slug. You have no idea how long I have pined away for one of these. I will certainly be wearing it for Halloween, and maybe just because it's Saturday or something. Sadly, it will probably starve to death on my head.
And as an extra little surprise, a tiny miniature Raylan hat from Justified. Along with it was a clothespin that was actually USED ON THE SET OF THE SHOW! It has the episode listed on the back. How you may ask? Because waterbaby worked on the set. I am so jealous.
Thank you so much waterbaby. You really are talented! Thanks Ryn for hosting and finding an angel. Great swap!
