I received my mug rug from Sewmess last week but have only now had a day off to post pics. I wanna thank Sewmess for making me such a great mug rug. I love it!

Sewmess, I am so jealous of your sewing skills. How did you get the corners to look so nice? It's so cool that we both chose to do one side pieced into such interesting patterns. Again, thank you so much!

Front: Christmas has sucked ever since my mom died 13 years ago.
Back: People have tried to make Christmas special for me since then, but no one can top my mom's ability to love and spoil me. I miss the magic that she brought to the season and I wish I'd appreciated it more.

Front: I use British slang because it makes me sound cool.
Back:American slang is just crass. And I don't particularly fancy being American. (I hate tea though)

I came home from class today to an awesome and beautiful swap package!

Here is everything still all wrapped up!

An awesome pillow case with a betta fish on it! I love it! The fish is all shiny and pretty!

On the other side Jess put my name!

And she included some beautiful earrings and decorated bobby pins!

Please excuse the poor quality of my photos! I plan to add more(better) photos!

Thanks Jess! I love all of it! I didn't get it in these pictures but there was also a really pretty purple cord type thing...and I kinda wasn't sure what it was...Smiley I will include it when I add more pics.

10  Day of the Dead Cross Stitch in Needlework: Completed Projects by peachyinthe916 on: August 13, 2011 12:03:02 PM
Hi everyone! This summer I picked up cross stitch and I worked for about a month on this project. The pattern comes from a book called Twisted Stitches by Phil Davison. The finished piece is about 5in x 7in.

I want to attach it to something as a patch, any tips on how to go about this?

Thanks for looking!
