91  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / New Summertop. (Intended to be a skirt first) on: March 21, 2011 10:45:44 AM
Hello there,

(I am from Germany, so please, please excuse my bad english!)
I wanted to sew a skirt from a rest piece of jersey-fabric.
I draped it on my dress form and sew it together.

But when I pull it on and looked at me in the mirror it was not the way, that I expected it to be...

So I pulled it over my dress form again, and it stucked on the chest of my dress form.
What shoud i say: As a Top it looked great!

So I addet two stripes an voila:

CC welcome.

Lol, I understood that. I was the pattern I referred to.
And i think that's a challenge in itself.

Yes it is a challenge! I took a loooooong time.  Wink

Oh I think I made a mistake in the Subject: This is not my first attempt at sewing a skirt at all. This is my first attempt at sewing a skirt from a selfmade pattern...  Embarrassed
But thanks at all!   Cheesy

(Do you know, if I can change the subjects name?)

This is my first post ever at crafster.org.

A couple of weeks ago I bought "Design-It-Yourself-Clothes" from Cal Patch. This is a amazing book, that teaches you Pattermaking the easy way!

This is my first attempt on a skirt:
