Ahh...I think my stitching is lame and the crayon tinting looks ok but I really didn't know what to expect from that. Kinda hard comparing it to the stuff on craftster when you're a novice, you know?

This is my first hoopla! I've been doing cross stitch and embroidery for a long time and using a lot of kits. This was the first thing I've done without a kit. My husband likes it and I know my mom will too (it's a gift) but I'm wondering if any craftsters have some advice for me for future projects. I wasn't happy with the black thread in general (I bought the wrong kind but was too lazy to go back to the store). I also tried crayon tinting. It was easy but I'm not sure if that is part of my discontent. I'm looking forward to hearing your thoughts!

Awesome! Do you end up pulling really tight to get the front flat and straight?

They almost look like they glow in the dark. How cool would that be?
