So I thought to myself, what would be a good entry to do with paper?  I came up with "Into the Woods" as paper comes from trees - hence my forest theme.  What would a forest be without some pine trees, a bear and some mushrooms?  This was my first altered match box and stamp carving.  I have wanted to carve some stamps for so long so I doodled some on paper and then transferred them to the pink block, and here they are. Items used were scrap book paper, a bead, a matchbox, pink speedy carve, some ink, modge podge and acrylic paint.

These were made last year and I'm now just posting them!  I had two partners for the fridge magnet swap and the first theme was bats and spiders.  The second was birds.  I like working with those flat marble things so I just had to use them in these.  Sorry the first picture is so dark. I couldn't get it to photograph.  The webs, eyes and fangs all glow in the dark.  My second set I used glass lampwork bird beads.

So here are my very first hoopla attempts!  This is a very late post as I made these for partners several rounds ago.  I'm very new to embroidery in general so I was pretty pleased with how these turned out.

Have you ever used sugar scrub?  Scrubs off all that dry skin and leaves it feeling soft and silky.  Smells great and maybe you shouldn't taste it as well.... it taste good too!  Here I made Tangerine Star Anise, Lemon Eucalyptus, and Grapefruit Mint.

I have been playing around with making ear rings lately, even though I don't have pierced ears myself. lol.  This year I actually started making the glass lampwork beads.  None of the beads here are ones I have made though.  Not yet.  I'm getting a better handle on it and can't wait to do more intricate beads like these.  sorry the pictures aren't totally clear!

My partner recently received this in a swap so I thought I'd do a post so you all could see.  I took a wool sweater and felted it down to make the pouch.  I then took wool roving and needle felted on a fox and a tree on the backside.  The sweater started out as an XL and shrunk down to a size my 8 year old could wear.  Funny thing is it had a few moth holes in it so when I felted it those holes got a lot bigger.  The sweater was perfect for making pouches because the holes messed up bigger pieces.

The first and last picture is washed out.  My camera is a very cheap one.    The middle picture is more true to color.

I give you Mr and Mrs Goon!  I made these for the recent tiny stuffy swap.  Both are needle felted.  They were for SpookyPooky's first wedding anniversary! Mr Goon wears his heart on his sleeve and dons a purple cape.  Mrs Goon stays happy with putting a bow in her imaginary hair.  Happy First SpookyPooky!

This is my first sock monkey!  I made it for the latest sock monkey swap.  It's made out of a merino wool sock with an elastic fringe "grass" skirt and polymer clay coconut bra.  I took beading elastic, silk flowers and glass beads to create the flower wreath for her head.  



Since her tummy shows, she just had to have a little belly button.



I am really pleased with how she turned out.  I had a huge goof on the nose but It turned out great.  You can't really see it in these pictures, but it looks like a gorilla nose with nostril holes.

I recently made this Cheshire cat and hedgehog with the mad hatters hat for the latest tiny stuffy swap.  My partner loves Disney so I thought I'd make her some wool needle felted goodness!

I made this little guy for the tiny stuffie swap.  My first time joining the world of stuffie makers.  He's needle felted out of merino wool.
