1  FIBER ARTS / Felting: Discussion and Questions / What to do with wool bats? on: September 24, 2012 11:47:40 PM
Hi,
i just order 6 kg of wool ideal for bags but i didnt know it is not a wool tops (rowings) but only a carded wool - wool bats. I have no experiences with wetfelting from wool bats. Dont you know what should i do? i was thinking about drum carder but it is too expensive for me. Or felt the bags from bats just like it is now? Am worry i will not be able to lay it equally i mean it wont be the same thickness..
Will be happy for any help. thanks

Hi,
i make felted slippers, they are perfect but need to solve the problem with the soles. I was wondering what is the best - rubber soles, leather soles or just using a liquid latex. I dont have experience with non of that and actually i dont really know where to buy that stuff - rubber soles for slipper so i can use them outside or liquid latex. Anyone can help??
thanks
