1071  IMAGE REPRODUCTION TECHNIQUES / Other Image Reproduction Techniques: Discussion and Questions / Re: block printing on: March 17, 2005 02:41:20 PM
i suggest speedball printmaking ink, you can find it at most art stores (pearl, flax, utretch, etc) and i'm pretty sure craft stores like a.c.moore carry it too.
it's not too expensive if you buy the smaller tubes, and they can go a long way if you use them properly.

it's on my debit/mastercard actually. i'm from new york, where just about everyone has "check ID" written on the back of their cards (since no one will ever check otherwise!). however, i have just moved to new zealand - and everyone gives me a hard time when they see that i only have a new york state driver's license handy (if i carried my passport or visa around, i would lose it in a heartbeat). i need to remove the "check ID" part so that i can simply put in my signature.

Calling all Martha Stewarts

How do I get Sharpie marker off of something? Does anyone know a solvent/cleanser/household cleaner/eraser/anything to get this off?!! It's on plastic, and I have to get it off very badly!
1075  CITY GUIDES FOR CRAFTSTERS / NEW ZEALAND / Re: Hamiltopia on: March 13, 2005 01:32:03 PM
i don't know if i would go so far to refer to hams as 'hamiltopia', but to each her own!

i live in raglan and i'm finding it extremely hard to find people here and in town that are interested in anything remotely close to crafting/screening/arting/whateveryourchoiceis. maybe that is because i just moved here but still... seems like the only thing people are up to is going to shows and sitting at traffic with a cup of coffee. i'd get together with you in a heartbeat if you wanted to do some crafting / explore where to get the best things. arts & frames is a ripoff, i recommend not going there, but dave's i hear is worth the trip. soooo... yeah, let me know!
1076  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Discussion and Questions / South Pacific Craftsters? on: March 10, 2005 04:15:01 PM
i've been reading craftster for quite some time, but didn't sign up until just now. everyone here seems like a swell chap or chapette, with adorable ideas & splendid personalities.
my question is are any of you from the south pacific? i live in new zealand, and would love to see what other kiwis/aussies/islanders are doing. just for the sake of location, i'm curious. if i ran the world, i'd like to just have a big party at my house with every single one of you invited for good food & good fun!
