1  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Discussion and Questions / Re: The Big Thread of "Help Me Find a Pattern, Please!" on: June 01, 2011 06:16:53 AM
Not sure if anyone can help but it can't hurt to try. I am looking for a pattern for a large tri-fold ladies wallet. It was a pattern popular in the 90's or early 2000's. It has an outside zipper pocket, inside zipper pocket, billfold, pen holder, checkbook holder and a flip up card holder. It is a large a bulky type of wallet. My mom had one until in disintegrated and has never been happy with any other wallet since. I would love to be able to make her a new one. Any help or nudge in the right direction would be appreciated. I am willing to pay for this pattern if need be. Thanks in advance!

Grin You are a design genius!! I'm crazy into making my own bags and purses right now and stubled across your tutorial. Given the 8 zillion purse and bag tutorials that can be found online I am pleased as punch to have come across yours. I can see this as being a big hit with my 6 and 10 year old that are just learning to sew!
3  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Discussion and Questions / Tri Fold Ladies Wallet popular in the 90's on: March 15, 2011 03:14:55 PM
Does anyone remember the large sized tri fold ladies wallet, I believe it was quilted but I could be wrong, that was popular in the 90's? It had a spot for your check book, pen, multiple card lots and a flap that covered the card slots, a zippered spot for change and large pockets for cash and receipts. My mom used to have one when I was a teenager and she loved it. I would love to be able to find the pattern and make her a new one for mother's day. With all the beautiful, funky fabrics on the market today I think this older pattern could become hip again! Anyone who could help I would greatly appreciate it.
