1  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / cabled poncho on: October 01, 2011 11:20:44 AM
I recently completed a cabled poncho that is on the cover of the most recent Rowan Magazine.  I used Cascade yarn and sized down the needles a bit - it took about a month to knit.  I love this so much!

3  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / ballet house flats on: March 23, 2010 02:57:01 PM
I made slippers before but wanted to make a better shape so I came up with these.  Nothing groundbreaking really, but fairly simple and really quick to make.

You can get the pattern here: http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/ballet-house-flats

Thanks for looking!  Cheesy

I made some socks!
I wanted something with color and not grid-like so I came up with these:

5  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / I knit some cashmere tights! on: February 12, 2010 12:40:33 PM
SO HAPPY THEY ARE DONE!

I was inspired by Chanel's f/w '09 collection and decided to knit up my own pair of fuzzy cashmere tights.  I used Barbara Walker's Knitting From the Top as a guide and measured, measured, measured.

The process is documented in the links below:

6  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / band of hearts knit headband on: January 03, 2010 04:04:40 PM
It is really cold out right now so I wanted to make a headband that is warm but also cute.  And here it is!   Cheesy

I also like the way it ties:

I put some more pics on my blog: http://amazingknits.wordpress.com/2010/01/03/band-of-hearts/

7  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / quickie stripey slippers (w/ free pattern link) on: December 18, 2009 10:36:52 AM
so much knitting lately!

I quickly whipped up these great stripey slippers.  Stash busting and good for keeping feet warm.  Literally took less thank 3 hours.  These can make a really great last-minute gift for sure!

8  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / circle circle dot dot on: December 12, 2009 10:03:43 AM
These are some fingerless gloves I designed and I am so happy they are done!  Cheesy

They are made with brushed suri and are so so warm!  I was able to make the first one so quickly but kept having all this drama with the second one (needles falling out, having to re-start so many times) but once I sat down and focused on it, it took no time at all.

I put the pattern on Ravelry: http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/circle-circle-dot-dot-fingerless-gloves
and did a lengthy write-up on my blog: http://amazingknits.wordpress.com/2009/12/12/circle-circle-dot-dot/

Thanks for looking!   Grin
9  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / knit hearts pillow on: December 02, 2009 11:09:30 AM

10  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / sweet little mock pleat skirt on: November 22, 2009 03:35:08 PM
Here is a sweet little mock pleat skirt I designed.  It is modeled here by my friend.  It is super warm and cozy and I can't wait to wear it more now that the weather is getting chilly!
