3  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / New Swap Theme Ideas / Re: My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic Swap on: August 03, 2011 08:44:46 AM
so It seems we have atleast 8 interested plus bluetiger >:3 who can't decide to do Ponies or Harry Potter for his first swap!

I say ponies!

I'm sorrreeeeee! D: It's so hard to decide. I love them both. Will there be more Potter Swaps? Cause there can always be more Pony swaps. I'm still kinda new here so I dunno how likely harry potter stuff is to creep up again. But then, I would like to put in my pony oc.. and.. Gah.

I'm gonna have to decide soon, I think this is my 15th post right here.

Edit: Oh actually its 16. Hmmm... Get the questionnaire up. That will help me decide. :3

Thank you for sharing this recipe. I've been wondering how this was done, now I know. I'll definitely have to try this.
6  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / Slender Mane My Little Pony Custom on: August 02, 2011 04:33:42 PM
This is my first post where I get to show off something that I do. I hope this is in the right section, please let me know if it isn't and I'll fix it.

Slender Mane Custom My Little Pony. Made from a G4 Fashion Style Pinkie Pie. Body and face altered with Apoxie air dry sculpting medium and painted with acrylics then sprayed with a matte finish.

If you are not familiar with the Slender Man Mythos, here's a handy dandy link

7  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Craftalongs / Re: The Ongoing Poppet and Punkin-Along on: August 02, 2011 03:41:13 PM
I find it is easier making clothes with the finished doll at your fingertips. Draping and measuring make a huge difference!

Alright, I'll wait then. I think that's what I needed to hear on that end before final decision. Time to get this party started!

I think the problem I'm having now is finding a suit and tie pattern for him for when he's made. I've had to slightly alter the pattern for my use but it wasn't too hard for me. For any curious and who may know of Slender Man, he's going to be my first doll to make. I might have to just work with something after he's made since his proportions will be so weird. I'm actually excited about this now and looking forward to starting it. Thanks for the much needed moral support guys! :p
9  POTTERY, CERAMICS, POLYMER CLAY / Polymer Clay: Completed Projects / Re: Some NEW Mechanical Birdies - Bulova & Rustbucket! on: August 02, 2011 08:10:41 AM
Oh my goodness. This is magnificently gorgeous. I'm just really getting into the steam-punk stuff, this is just. Really one of a kind and very well done. I didn't realize it was from clay until I read the description better. Very very well done.

I'll do just that then. I know I could really use a confidence boost :p I just seem to always have this moment where I freeze before starting something new.
