I have a little sister who might like that too.

Making your own toasted pita chips are worlds better then the packaged ones.  And you can season them differently and make a few different kinds, savory and sweet.

Just butter the pita, season, and brown under the broiler.  I cut them into triangles after cooking.
13  COOKING / Recipes and Cooking Tips / Re: Real Comfort Food - Fav When Sick on: January 17, 2008 12:43:30 PM
When I am sick I love rice with soy sauce on it.  Brown or white rice, doesn't matter.
I also like anything from the "chip aisle" at the supermarket, chips, smartfood, doritos.....maybe it has something to do with the salt?

Baby carrots and hummus travel pretty well and can make a good snack between lunch and dinner.
Will you have a cooler?  You could also bring some cheese, those baby belle ones wrapped in wax travel really well.
15  CRAFTY BUSINESS ADVICE / Selling Crafts on Etsy.com / Re: Need a critique of your Etsy shop? This is the place! on: January 14, 2008 11:47:41 AM
I've been on etsy for a little while, but I don't I've ever had my shop looked at by craftster folks (only other etsy folks).
If anyone is up for critiquing, I'm up for listening.

16  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Discussion and Questions / Re: Starting a Craft Night? on: October 24, 2007 12:42:17 PM
My friends and I used to do a craft club....it was very home grown.  We would take turn picking the projects, but tired to center it around something affordable, or somethere where supplies could be easily shared.  Other times it was just "bring what you are working on" night.  Those night were more centered around socializing and sharing, rather then having a 'lesson" so to speak.
17  COOKING / Recipes and Cooking Tips / Re: Semi-Easy Semi-Romantic Food? Dinner? Help? on: October 24, 2007 12:37:17 PM
I agree on the pasta thing.  Spaghetti can be sexy cause there is lots of slurping and you can also do that "Lady and the Tramp" thing ;-)

Try this recipe for Broccoli and shrimp with Angel Hair.
18  COOKING / Dessert / Re: What's Your Favorite Movie Snack? on: October 23, 2007 12:25:12 PM
I love popcorn, especially at one of the second run theaters because they actually pop it on site!
But my favorite snack to sneak into the movies (I'm bad, I know) are Pepridge Farm Goldfish crackers.  I can go through a whole bag during a movie!
19  COOKING / Recipes and Cooking Tips / Re: "Mexican" Mac & Cheese on: October 23, 2007 12:19:46 PM
Oooo....good idea.  I think my boyfriend would like this too, and it seems very filling.  also I love "dump" recipes where you can be creative.
