Oooh!  That is cute. I love all the fabric combinations, they go so well together. Nice job.

That is a beautiful bag. I love the fabric too!

That is gorgeous!  It is also the biggest baby blanket I've ever seen. Seriously. That kid will be able to use that blanket when he gets a double bed.  I love the colors too..  Nice job.

I found this fabric at a thrift shop. I paid around $3 for about 4 yards, and so far, I've made a wallet (my first, so it's not very good), a wristlet (shown below), and the world's smallest business card holder. I screwed up on the sizing, but was determined to finish the damn thing, and right now you can probably fit two tylenol in it.

Anyways, here's the wristlet. If no one buys it at my etsy shop, I may just claim it for myself.

And the lining..
25  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Baby Showers And Gifts For New Babies / Re: Easy peasie flannel baby blankie (with tute) & mitered corners tutorial too! on: July 24, 2006 07:02:53 PM
I'm so glad you all like it. I hope it's helpful.  Figuring out how to miter corners kept me up at night (no lie!), and I was so pleased when I finally did it.

Sewing them and getting them to look good is tricky. I usually do a zig zag stitch, and then flip the whole blankie over, and do a straight stitch just to ensure I've gotten every single millimeter of the binding..

They look awesome..  What's the snap setter?  It sounds like something I could have used, since the hammer didn't do the trick. Ugh.

I like the bag, and I love the way you put the lyrics inside.  Did you stamp them?  You could market that, and I bet lots of people would buy (especially if you let them pick out the lyrics!)..

I like it!

It's a little weird though, because I just made a wallet out of a black&white patterned fabric that I bought at a thrift store over the weekend.  Great minds think alike!  Mine is very similar to yours. If I can find time to take some pictures, I'll post it.

You did a really nice job. Way to go.

Both the fabric, and the shape of the bag remind me of the Amy Butler Uptown bag. Below is the link to her site, and the pattern..
