43  Sumo Buddy, DFA 1979, Jon Stewart, Bananas in Screen Printing: Completed Projects by ambraqi on: December 07, 2005 10:02:40 AM
4 old shirts I never posted.

For the first semester of college, I made a shirt for each of my close friends.  My friend and I met in P.E. class in 9th grade.  When we were asked what we wanted to be when we were older, we both agreed that being sumo wrestlers would be awesome. And so a relationship was born. So I made her a sumo wrestler shirt :

It's kind of pixelly looking, but whatever.

I love love love Death from Above 1979. Their music makes me want to FLIP OUT!!!!! So I made a shirt to show my love.

Another shirt sent to a friend.  My friend loves Jewish men, liberals, and graying hair, so naturally she would be madly in love with Jon Stewart.  At least she can show her love:

Do you think it looks like him?? Some people say it looks like a young George Bush, which would ultimately defeat the purpose of making it since my friends hates him with fire of a thousand suns.

I also made a shirt for my little sister. I shamelessly stole it from the Threadless site (Sorry!).  My sister is 13 and my mom thought it had some sort of sexual connotation to it. I was like : "Mom, it's a banana in a pocket."

Please tell me what you think!

44  Pitiful Bears/Sloths *2 new "Pitty"bears added* in Knitting: Completed Projects by ambraqi on: December 07, 2005 09:39:46 AM
I made one of these for a friend that was having a bad first semester at college.  She was supposed to go to Tulane, but Hurricane Katrina put a stop to that.  I kind of winged the pattern for this and he turned out with a floppy neck, hence, the scarf.  My friend thought it looked like a sloth. Don't ask me, it's supposed to be a bear. My other friend requested one, so she got a yellow one with a less floppy neck.

I know they are sad and pitiful, but I think they are cute all the same.  They also have little pot bellies.

I love making these "pity"bears (instead of teddy bears, corny I know)

Made for a girl's birthday who lives down the hall:

and one for my sister:

47  Fabio Shirt in Screen Printing: Completed Projects by ambraqi on: August 31, 2005 07:49:50 PM
I made this shirt as a joke for a story I had written in Language class last year. The story was about a day in the life of Fabio. The text says "Fabiolous"

I would appreciate feedback. Thanks
