1  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / The Swap Gallery / Re: Geeky Swap Gallery on: February 22, 2014 04:18:32 PM
Today I got a really cool package from my partner megancrafts, yeeeee!
She wrapped each item in pretty tissue paper, I really need to get better at wrapping, it was fun to open.   Megan made an awesome Reno 911 hanging hoop bucket that I immediately found a place for in our office (i love storage and this bucket is even better because I'll laugh every time I look at it).  She also sent a cross-stitched Daenerys (Game of Thrones) eating a horse heart for her boo...this cracked me up, absolutely love it!  Next up is what I'm guessing is a tea wallet with the two hearts of Doctor Who.  It's so cute, I'm sure I could find lots of different ways to use this pouch. Then there is the cutest lil 10th Doctor felt doll, I can't tell you how detailed he is... from rosy cheeks to his tiny little sonic screwdriver to the smallest shoelaces I have ever seen hahaha.  I'm still looking him over, he is so well made, I can't imagine how much time it took to make him.  Finally, Megan sent me some chocolate treats, yumm.  Thanks Megancrafts!

I'm so glad you like everything! 10 did take awhile, but I love how he turned out, so it was worth it. Though his eyebrows do make him look very concerned.

Wow, having serious swap anxiety after looking through this thread. I don't think I sent enough.

The guy at the post office wasn't happy to have to do a package to Canada when I mailed on Thursday, but hopefully it makes it there quickly!

I received from MeganCrafts and finally had the chance to open her parcel today!  I'm so in love with everything she sent!  I feel totally spoiled!!

First we have this super cute cassette tape zip pouch!  I've always wanted one and now I have one of my favoritest books ever!

(and the view from the top, with yummy looking chocolate!!)

I literally squeed when I opened these two!!  I think they're Katniss and Peeta!  (woo team Peeta!!!) I mean these guys are so super adorable!!

The books look really good too! I've heard good things!  Can't wait to dive in!

Thank you so so so so much MeganCrafts, everyone you can now be jealous! Grin

I'm so glad you like everything!! I made myself one of those cassette tape wallets awhile ago and people really seem to like it. Plus credit cards fit into it perfectly. And I'm not sure if you noticed, but the second book is signed by the authors, thanks to the conference I went to last month.

I received from the wonderful honeyd.

First, the book:

This has been on my to read list since last semester, I just haven't had a chance. Now I won't have to find a copy when I find time to fit it in. I'm a bit picky about fantasy, but this was recommended to me by a librarian who recommended another book that I loved, so I'm excited to read it.

And the tiny thing:

Absolutely beautiful The Fault in Our Stars themed bookmark. These pictures really don't do it justice. This is my favorite quote from one of my favorite books, and I've actually been thinking about getting it tattooed on me.

Thank you so much honeyd! I hope you like what I sent you as much as I love these.

Picked up the last of the supplies that I need today, so hopefully I can get everything done this weekend. Things have been completely insane.

Ahh time is not being my friend lately. Started a second job last week, so between work and school, my crafting time has been very limited. Starting to panic a bit.

Sorry for taking so long to get these posted. Things have been crazy! Also, I really wish that I had a better camera. This package is absolutely amazing and these pictures really don't do them justice.

Anyway, here is what my fantastic partner sent me.

River Song's Journal. The pages are blank, which will be great for craft ideas.

Beaker mini-quilt. It is pieced fabric. I can't wait to hang it up on my wall.

Jiji pouch. So cute.

And last, a Yoda purse. Words cannot express how amazing this is. My jaw literally dropped when I unwrapped it. He has so much character.

Thank you so, so much Christy!!! You are amazing.
