31  K-9 from Doctor Who in Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects by MeganCrafts on: February 03, 2012 01:13:25 PM
I made this K-9 plushie for my partner in the One Tiny Doctor Who Thing swap.  He is felt, embroidery floss, a headpin, fiberfill, and some cardboard.  I used a papercraft pattern as a guide.

I realized that I forgot to go back and stich his name on the side like I had intended to.  Oops.

My partner for the One Tiny Doctor Who Thing swap received, so I can post pictures.  I'll have to add these to my list.

My partner for the One Tiny Doctor Who Thing swap received, so I can post pictures.  Both of these were made of stash materials.

pjr107 is dealing with some personal stuff, so I offered to post pictures of what I sent her.

She said her favorite companion was K-9, so I made him for her.

And a top view of the control panel.

I also made a pencil/makeup case with a Tardis on it.

I hope she likes everything.

I crossed two things off of my list this week.

Morsbag tote from a bedsheet that I got at the thrift store

And handspun yarn.  It's not done yet, but I'm not sure if I'm going to keep spinning it like this, or if I'm going to spin the rest of the roving a different weight.

36  Re: Fiber Friday 01/27/2012 in Spinning: Completed Projects by MeganCrafts on: January 27, 2012 04:48:50 PM
Everything is so pretty, I almost don't want to post now.

This is my first spin, other than the maybe 30 yards that I did a few weeks ago.  It's a bit thick and thin, but some of the thin spots are much thinner than I wanted them.  I'm not sure if I want to keep spinning it like this, or if I want to use the rest of the beautiful Falkland that I ordered from http://cosymakes.com/.  Any suggestions?

I made another destash/upcycle project from a bed sheet from the thrift store.  I used the Morsbag pattern, which I definitely recommend.

I think I'm going to use the rest of it to make another circle skirt.

I have one more destash project done, but it's for a swap, so it has to wait to be posted.

I did a bit of destashing last weekend, but just finally got pictures last night.

I picked up this bed sheet at the thrift store this summer, and it's been sitting around since then.

I finally finished a project!  Well, actually, I finished this last weekend, but just got pictures last night.

It's made from an upcycled bed sheet that I got at the thrift store this summer, but it's been sitting in my stash for months.  I have another sheet that I plan on doing the same thing with, and I also think I'm going to make a morsbag out of the leftover bits.

40  'Ello. Labryinth Worm Felt Embroidery in Needlework: Completed Projects by MeganCrafts on: January 06, 2012 08:23:59 AM
I made this patch for the Jim Henson swap.  He's all felt, which I cut, glued, and stitched together onto a patch.  Then he was sewn to a tote bag from Joann's.

I wish I had gotten a few more pictures of him before he was sent.
