I made this for my teenage niece.  For when she's feeling a bit "goth".

3  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Paper Crafts: Completed Projects: General / day of the dead skull cut out on: February 27, 2015 11:00:55 PM
this is a Day of the Dead themed artwork that I made for the recent Box of Color swap.  I cut out a decorated skull with roses, backed it with purple tissue paper and added some fabric leaves.

I chose a page from an old spanish novel the cut the images out of but it was very brittle.  In the future, I will probably choose newer paper to avoid obvious mistakes.
4  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / skull earrings on: October 15, 2014 12:09:59 AM
I made these for my partner in the "Mini 13 Days of Halloween" swap

I was inspired by some earring that I found via pinterest and created my own version of them with felt, ribbon, beads and embroidery thread.
5  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Beads: Completed Projects / spooky Halloween scene peyote bracelet on: October 14, 2014 11:43:43 PM
made for my partner in the "Mini 13 Days of Halloween" swap

My design combined as many Halloween tropes as possible!  Bats against a full moon, a spooky house in silhouette, creepy tree, gravestone, pumpkins, and an eerie black cat with glowing eyes!
6  IMAGE REPRODUCTION TECHNIQUES / Stenciling: Completed Projects / Halloween tees on: October 14, 2014 11:21:33 PM
I made some stenciled t shirts for my partner in the "Mini 13 Days of Halloween" swap:

I found a flowered t shirt in the local thrift store that I thought gave off a shabby chic Day of the Dead vibe and added a cool embracing skeleton couple stencil to it.  The stencil was rather a @*#%* to cut out but I liked the result.  Unfortunately I used a spray fabric paint and accidentally got some outside the stencil design itself.  I added some hearts to the area in an attempt to pass it off as intentional.   Grin
for the kids:

Her boys like zombies and vampires and the youngest loves pink!
7  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Beads: Completed Projects / beaded Electric Mayhem bracelet on: August 21, 2014 09:38:53 PM

This is a peyote bead pattern I came up with for a Jim Henson swap a while ago.  A friend of mine is both a big Muppets fan and a musician so I decided to make one for her birthday.

8  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Beads: Completed Projects / Bride of Frankenstein peyote bracelet on: March 13, 2014 10:23:54 PM
This is a Bride of Frankenstein bracelet that I made for my partner in the recent Monster Swap.  It is done in 2 drop peyote stitch.  The design below the Bride is meant to be the mob of villagers marching through a cemetery from the original movie.  (or it could be a completely unrelated group of zombies if you aren't familiar with the film, according to a friend!   Smiley)
9  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: General / Fungi wreath on: March 10, 2014 12:34:31 AM
Winter is lasting forever here.  To remind myself that warmer seasons will follow, I made myself a mushroom wreath.

The mushrooms are made from felt and the moss is crocheted yarn over a dollar store wreath.  In several months, the real things will be growing in the woods!
10  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / Bowie ipod sleeve on: January 10, 2014 06:11:07 PM
Inspired by David Bowie's recent birthday and Nokomomo's phone sleeve that I found on pinterest, I stitched this up with felt for my antique ipod nano.  On the back, it has a flap with a button closure to keep the ipod safe.

(I hope this is the right spot to post this!   Smiley)
