1  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Beads: Completed Projects / Bowie 'Life on Mars'peyote bracelet on: March 27, 2016 05:15:51 PM
I was devastated by David Bowie's death this January.  He and his music have always meant a lot to me.  Since I hadn't actually made something for myself in a while, I chose to bead a bracelet of David's eyes in his iconic 'Life on Mars' video.

Here's an image from the video.

His eyes aren't actually 2 different colors, of course but that's often how it appears in photos.

5  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / lace skull tee shirt on: October 15, 2015 12:11:41 PM
Made for my partner in the 13 Days of Halloween 2015 swap.

I crafted the skull out of bits of lace and sewed it on to the tee with tiny awkward stitches.  I'm not a sewer but I like how it came out.
6  Halloween / Halloween Decor and Parties / ouija crow taxidermy on: October 15, 2015 12:02:53 PM
Made for my partner in the 13 Days of Halloween 2015 swap.

It doesn't show up very well but the raven is covered with black glitter and more covers the edges and where the glue may have seeped out while attaching it to the plaque.
7  Halloween / Halloween Decor and Parties / Day of the Dead shrine on: October 15, 2015 11:59:16 AM
Made for my partner in the 13 Days of Halloween 2015 swap.

The box was once used to store library stamps back in the days before computers.   Grin
The flowers, heart, and crown are sculpted of clay.  The chair crafted from a champagne bottle top.  Plastic skulls covered with glitter, skull and heart beads are also piled about.  Papel picado was fashioned out of tissue paper.

10  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Paper Crafts: Completed Projects: General / day of the dead skull cut out on: February 27, 2015 11:00:55 PM
this is a Day of the Dead themed artwork that I made for the recent Box of Color swap.  I cut out a decorated skull with roses, backed it with purple tissue paper and added some fabric leaves.

I chose a page from an old spanish novel the cut the images out of but it was very brittle.  In the future, I will probably choose newer paper to avoid obvious mistakes.
