11  QUILTING / Quilting: Completed Projects / Vintage Picnic Blanket on: July 27, 2009 04:02:00 AM
I've been super obsessed with having a picnic blanket lately so that I can hang out under the trees in my backyard with my sweet baby boy.
This blanket is made from vintage fabric from the 70s that I had hidden away in my fabric stash.  It's so bright and colourful that finding an appropriate project has been a challenge.  However, i think it brings a sense of nostalgia to the picnic blanket.  Tutorial and details can be found on my blog.

12  Halloween / Halloween Costumes / Mr. Big and The Cheat as Han Solo and Chewie on: October 29, 2007 03:11:14 AM
My puppies are so good and understanding of my need to create a costume for everyone that lives in the house.  Cheesy

So, per my boyfriend's request I made them Han Solo and Chewie costumes.  The pups were the hit of our party on Saturday evening.

Here they are as Chewbaca (Mr. Big) and Han Solo (The Cheat).

13  KNITTING / Knitalongs / vogue lace trim bolero on: July 22, 2005 09:08:47 PM
if anyone's interested in joining i'm making the lace trim bolero from the vogue spring/summer 2005. it's really cute and i'm going to make a knitted tank top to wear under it. a little twin set since they're so in this year. i'm not using the suggested yarn. instead i'm using lion brand baby soft in cream. it's the same exact gauge for me.

i'll post pics!
14  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Stitch And BOTCH / how about a pet related botch? on: November 20, 2004 07:47:18 AM
i was about half way done with some lacey looking arm warmers and i left the project on my table and came home to discover my chihuahua sitting in the middle of the floor surrounded and intangled in yards upon yards of yarn. he was just shaking because he knew he was in trouble. however, it was so hillarious i couldn't really yell at him, but i was very sad i couldn't get to my camera in time. needless to say that project was frogged and some day i might get around to redoing it.
15  ASIA / Japan / i need a favour on: September 10, 2004 07:54:13 AM
For my merchandising promotion and advertising class i am doing a consumer behavior report and i had to pick a consumer group from which i am not a member. so i chose japanese if anyone has any time if you wouldn't mind could i get a few people to fill out an oh so small survey (just a few questions) about your shopping habits and preferences. just pm me anyone is interested. it would be greatly appreciated. i just want some personal opinions rather then just getting information from other people's reports.
Thanks!
