4  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Katniss Cowl on: December 18, 2013 08:00:57 AM
I have not seen the new Hunger Games movie, but have been in love with that cowl/vest/triangle thing since I first saw the pictures going around. I bought the yarn and pattern for this about a month ago, but finally got a chance to start it this past weekend, and finished it last night. I've never had my friends beg for a knit item as much as this one. It hurt my hands so much to make, though, that I am not sure I will let it go. I do plan to make a second one in nicer yarn, though, now that I know that I like it.

5  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Johnny Burton on: September 03, 2013 07:43:48 PM
I love this little knit guy Wink he's so stinkin' cute! The pattern didn't call for a hat, but I kept picturing him with a Buster Keaton style pancake hat, so I fashioned him one out of some felt (new and fun experience!).

8  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / A Shawl and a Baby Blanket on: June 11, 2013 08:34:34 AM
My niece is having her first baby so I knit her a baby blanket. It was a relatively fast knit, however my cable broke near the end, so I lost my momentum and took a bit of motivation to finish it.

So after finishing that, I knit myself a lace shawl, and am now on a shawl kick, and have started knitting a different shawl Wink

Anyway, here they are:

Finished this hat up tonight. Hurt my hands to knit, but the finished result it quirky and vintage, so I like it.

10  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Fooler Hat on: February 26, 2013 12:00:26 PM
I just love Alexandra Tinsley's hat patterns. This is a newer pattern of hers, "Fooler a Faker"... so cute!
