And here I thought I'd get a bunch of crap for bagging on Graves-era Misfits! Fantastic!

If anybody wants the pattern, I'd be happy to send the .pdf!

Exactly. Smiley Though both he and I are both bigger fans of Danzig-era Misfits than the newer stuff.

That photo isn't great because a) it was originally taken on his phone because I didn't take a decent picture, and b) uploading always washes things out.

I just thought about the project and opted to personalize it for the person I was giving it to. Green is his favorite color, and I just thought the purple would give it more pop than the grays the pattern gave me. Mission accomplished!

Not the greatest photo, but it's the Misfits Fiend Skull logo stitched in black and purple on Charles Craft Aida in 'Grasshopper' (lime green). Birthday gift for a friend who not only loves the Misfits, but does all kinds of creepy stuff like working in haunted houses and doing horror makeup. And I thought a guy wouldn't like a cross-stitched birthday gift...

I do a variation of this, only typically on cardboard (old pizza boxes cut to size work great), or the plastic that comes in some photo frames (think Ikea). Such a great thing!

I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS. And actually had a similar idea!

A million times, thank you! Sometimes I feel like I just do things and they're ridiculous and I'm the only person who will ever find them funny/awesome. Imagine my surprise at this turn of events!

It took quite awhile, I won't lie. It's probably one of my favorite cross-stitch projects to date. Thank you!

My foray into cross-stitch was with a trip to the library and picking up Subversive Cross Stitch, but now I just get ridiculous ideas, like this Pabst Blue Ribbon label. Who said crafting had to be serious? I regularly meld things I love for no reason other than the WTF factor!
