1  Re: Show off your hair! And questions about hair styles! in Bath and Beauty: Discussion and Questions by kristen vs mothra on: October 23, 2006 07:25:41 AM
oh, i went there!
before:

after:

i can tell i'll be into it but right now i'm a little jolted.  and so is my hair!  what's left needs to get used to not being weighed down by all that length so it can get a little poofy - especially when i woke up this morning!  mama! (the pic is from last night).  what do you think?

i think in the last few days i've gone through all 4000 of these posts, and let me just say you're all beautiful and your hair in inspiring!  that said, anyone in the mood to dole out some advice?
i've been growing my hair out from an ill-conceived shorter than chin length bob for a while now, and i'm really itching for a change.  i keep going back and forth about it because i do like myself with long hair, but i've also had it short and liked that.  plus it's hard to beat convenience wise.
here i am now: (by the way i just took these at work and it's early, so i'm not looking my best...nor is my hair for that matter)

and here are the pictures of the cut i'm contemplating that i've had saved on my computer for over a year.  i think i swiped them off a craftster board actually!

i've had it that short before but not in years.  i just feel like a big change, and isn't the post break up haircut kind of mandatory?  so what's your vote...keep growing it out or go under the scissors?  thanks in advance to anyone who takes the time to think about this stranger's 'do!  sorry about the novel length.

3  help me buckle my belt in Clothing: Discussion and Questions by kristen vs mothra on: December 04, 2005 07:59:10 PM
can someone tell me how this type of belt buckle is used?

i know it's a dumb question, but i'm having a hard time getting how that would hold without slipping, and how it is attached.  if anyone can shed any light on this for me, it would be great!

well...i'm not in love with it, as my expression clearly shows.  but hair grows.  Undecided

thanks for all your advice, you guys are great!  especially kiwimonkey, it was great of you to take the time to post pictures.  sorry i didn't take any of it  haha.  i'm an ass.

5  dare i go shorter? in Bath and Beauty: Discussion and Questions by kristen vs mothra on: October 12, 2005 08:16:33 PM
so i recently got my collarbone-length hair cut to be just a little more than chin-length, with the front slightly longer than the back.  i'm already dying to change it somehow!  i used to be addicted to hair dye so i'm gonna lay off that for a while, and i'm thinking of doing something shorter and more interesting...does anyone have any suggestions?  the only thing i'm opposed to is anything super trendy and probably back combed.  just not my cup of tea right now.  otherwise, i'd really love to hear your opinions!

sorry i look sort of come-hither, i sent this to my boyfriend...but it shows my hair pretty well

and i don't look so stellar in this one but it does show my face shape

thanks so much for looking!

6  resized and spruced up band shirt in Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by kristen vs mothra on: August 12, 2005 04:09:30 PM
this is my best friend's band's shirt, but it was huge and non-shapely, so i decided to switch it up a bit:

the blacks don't quite match, but it's a lot less noticeable in person.  criticism is welcome!
