I was enjoying this just for the awesome colors and patterns before I even realized it was soap.  Great job! Cheesy
2  CLOTHING / Shoes: Completed Projects / Re: Across the Galaxy Shoes (Painted Converse) on: July 05, 2011 10:07:29 PM
Brilliant!  Now I'm more enthusiastic about wearing my old Chucks.  They're the newer models, so the manufacturing isn't as good as the vintage models. Sad  I wish I knew how to deconstruct it and repair the poor assembly.

I really enjoyed your bookmarks.  I'd forgotten just how practical and artful they can (and should) be.
6  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: General / Re: Grilltendo!!! on: July 05, 2011 09:43:36 PM
It crossed my mind not long ago when I got my new grill (a lot like yours, actually, but the smaller model), "Hmm, could I do something crazy like paint my grill and not have it look like crap?"  You, my friend, have not only proven that it can work, you've proven that the results can be brilliant.  Thanks also for explaining the right kind of paint to use, because my initial reaction was wondering where one finds such a paint.

Props for a brilliant idea and giving me a geek-gasm.  I can't believe this is nostaligic now, haha!

This is really cool!  You've got the style right on target.  I particularly enjoyed the Art Nouveau-ish gate.

That's really cool.  I may have to play with this idea, myself.
