1  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / I final got to play with my serger ( a shirt!) on: December 28, 2007 08:44:01 PM
So two months later and I have time (woot!) and so I gave my serger a go. and came up with this uber comfy shirt.

I can dress it up due to the gold stripes in it, or down with my denim. Which as made it extra wearable for me.

So the dress has been a success ...but you cant see the reglan! I should have known better, but its a shirt dress none the less and Im please with the out come. I just need to search for couple of buttons!

Ive also decided that taking your own photo is hard as heck if your trying to get one with decent lighting... *shakes head*

5  CRAFTY BUSINESS ADVICE / Selling Crafts on Etsy.com / Should I allow a return? on: December 31, 2006 10:03:15 AM
I recently sold a bag on my site and I just received a message from the buyer after they received it that it wasnt the size they had hoped it would be stated it wasnt quite a bag but more of a purse and would like to return it.

I ALLWAYS make sure to put the measurements of anything I put up on etsy so they can get a feel as to what they are purchasing and what could go in it. The purse is messenger style...and it states that.

Im just curious as to an opinion of a few fellow etsians out there, since well this was only my second sale and havent experienced this delema, I dont have a return statement anywhere... maybe I should? Any imput is appreciated!

7  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Holey Sweater to not so holey messenger bag! on: September 30, 2006 04:06:40 PM
So I seen someone here had felted and old wool sweater and did something with it.. a bag of sorts i think. While at the local rummage sale I though "Hey! I should check for wool sweaters!" and so I did! I found this holey moth eaten one.. but looked at it and decided that the holes were in al the right spots and I could most deffinetly make a few purses out of it. So far two have been made..with only the holes where they belong!

The beaded handles are these retroish necklaces I got at some other sale  during the year. Im loving doing this so much I dont know If ill ever go back to working with bought fabric for purses...well not to soon at least. Thanks for looking!

Allrighty so this summer I told my self that I would work on a fall wardrobe that would go with my love of all things denim. And so here are two of the shirts that emerged.

9  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / Seamless (nearly!) Shirt in shades of pink. on: August 02, 2006 02:10:25 PM
Ok so this shirt was meant to be seamless but alas my fabric was to short and so i had to add some on after the ties...but all I had to do was finish the edges and viola!

and here you can see kind of how it ties and stuff

I rarely am so pink but I love love love how the shirt came out and plus its got a bunch of cuite little faries all over it so I can accept the pinkness.

It took no time to make, to such a degree that if i had the farbric all my shirts would end up being variations on this!
10  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / First Knit then Felted purse...stripey! on: July 10, 2006 04:28:36 PM
Me and my love for stipes and free yarn (lambs pride, it's roving and yarn is fab!) Since my washing machine has no delicate cycle and my mum was worried about me messing up the washer i did it by hand. Now I know Im insane to do it, but its a good anger release, regardless of the fact that my arms are kiling me..

In the process:

and Viola! Finished product:

I have to line it and put a zipper in it and its into use it goes!
