1  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / I final got to play with my serger ( a shirt!) on: December 28, 2007 08:44:01 PM
So two months later and I have time (woot!) and so I gave my serger a go. and came up with this uber comfy shirt.

I can dress it up due to the gold stripes in it, or down with my denim. Which as made it extra wearable for me.

Exactly Maronne! Those "in" styles just dont work with me either! And  Ceiligrrrrl I got this knit at *drum roll please* wallmart, for a buck a yard, so this dress cost me, three bucks maybe? I got it around a year or two ago but i saw it again just the other day there! Its tough to come by cute patterned fabric where i live!

^_^ And thank you for all the compliments!!!

The minis are around the height of the kelly barbie dolls, but much skinnier. The minis arent as poseable... but you can with some work! They dont have the joints that the big ones have!

I just need to search for couple of buttons!

Bon Girl! Yours is one of the ones that made me go out and give it a go! And rocket, i just went and checked out yours! Cute cute cute!! Where did you hit the jackpot for the fabric? Heh and i love how you have your machines on display.. ive had a photo of that corner saved for insipration for my own one day!

did you use a pattern? If so, which one??
It is very nice!!

I just sort of winged it as I was going. Its just two basic triangles, one inch larger that the widest point on my bust, gathered into the bottom band

I think I may take the suggestion and see what my local jo anns has in a matching blue...

Thanks for all the compliments! ^_^

And so Ive been contemplating doing a bikini for at least a year and finaly decided, after being inspired by everyone on here today, to give it a go. And it was a success, it holds me in place, and its comfortable, and kinda cute to boot.

aaand a side view

Now to see if I have enough fabric to do matching bottoms... But Im very pleased, this one might see the light of day...on a beach even!
