1  I final got to play with my serger ( a shirt!) in Clothing: Completed Projects: General by thevampirehanna on: December 28, 2007 08:44:01 PM
So two months later and I have time (woot!) and so I gave my serger a go. and came up with this uber comfy shirt.

I can dress it up due to the gold stripes in it, or down with my denim. Which as made it extra wearable for me.

aaaand the back

(Goodness its been a while since Ive posted)

2  Blue flowery Vintage Advance dress. in Clothing: Completed Projects: General by thevampirehanna on: June 28, 2007 11:05:17 AM
And so out of a handfull of free patterns i got last summer from the 50's i had spied this Advance pattern with funky reglan sleeves and decided to give it a go with material i didnt love but didnt hate. So the dress has been a success ...but you cant see the reglan! I should have known better, but its a shirt dress none the less and Im please with the out come. I just need to search for couple of buttons!

Ive also decided that taking your own photo is hard as heck if your trying to get one with decent lighting... *shakes head*

And so Ive been contemplating doing a bikini for at least a year and finaly decided, after being inspired by everyone on here today, to give it a go. And it was a success, it holds me in place, and its comfortable, and kinda cute to boot.

aaand a side view

Now to see if I have enough fabric to do matching bottoms... But Im very pleased, this one might see the light of day...on a beach even!

And so with it being cold and snowy i was inspired to do something summery and try a new tecnique out! The results.. Shirt!

I seriously cant get a pic that shows the detail and gives it justice. Ehh. But that was my experiment with ruching.

I cant wait for hot weather to come back to these parts...

8  Holey Sweater to not so holey messenger bag! in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by thevampirehanna on: September 30, 2006 04:06:40 PM
So I seen someone here had felted and old wool sweater and did something with it.. a bag of sorts i think. While at the local rummage sale I though "Hey! I should check for wool sweaters!" and so I did! I found this holey moth eaten one.. but looked at it and decided that the holes were in al the right spots and I could most deffinetly make a few purses out of it. So far two have been made..with only the holes where they belong!

The beaded handles are these retroish necklaces I got at some other sale  during the year. Im loving doing this so much I dont know If ill ever go back to working with bought fabric for purses...well not to soon at least. Thanks for looking!

I opened the box to fins this beautiful bundle waiting for me!

I quickly worked my way in to that  and found this!

Lovely cotton merino wool blend! Thank You Crafty KT now I have to decide whether or not to just unravel or start on my lovely scarf and patiently wait for my suprises >_<
