2  COOKING / Dessert / Re: Teacher Appreciation 3D Cookie on: May 19, 2015 09:32:52 AM
Cool design!  Do the vertically-orientated letters stay on simply by virtue of the strength of the hardened frosting, or is there some other kind of structural support involved?

Yes, the letters are "glued" , if you will, with icing. I was not sure if it would hold simply with the icing, but it did. I used a toothpick to support while it was drying.

That is great parents still do gifts for teachers. And who does not love a personalized cookie! Smiley

Thank you! I also made a little appliqued/embroidered personalized gift for her.

Love it - what a cool cookie design!

Thank you!  Wink

Lovely composition and motto.  That plump gray kitty is adorable!

Thank you! I based the kitty off of her real life fat cat, tinkerbell.
4  COOKING / Dessert / Teacher Appreciation 3D Cookie on: May 14, 2015 10:41:53 AM
Hey All! It is Teacher Appreciation time and I've made my Midget's teacher a couple of things, one being crafty and this one being edible  Wink I knew I wanted to make some sort of cute sugar cookie something-something. Them, looking at my cookie cutters, I thought why not create a more dimensional treat. Then I went to work, using  Sugarbelle's sugar cookie recipe, as well as her icing recipe. I made the cookies, iced them the next day and then I did get a wee bit impatient so it didn't come out as perfect as I would have liked.

Well here it is...

Thank you to all Teachers!

Hello craftsters!!! So I have been away from this fun and great playground for a little while. I am officially baaaaaaack.  Wink Please indulge me as I share a few posts with you of some craftiness I have been up to, as I have not had a chance to play on here, but I have been very busy making stuff, as I have to, or I would go bonkers.

This post is of a kitty that my Hubby's  niece asked that I make for her BFF, which is our other niece.

Thank you for peeking  Cheesy
