I was thinking of something like that too jexxican!

As its getting colder I'll have more time for crafting, and when I get another supply of super glue (oh yeah ) I'll try my hand at putting them back together. Since some pieces are too small to recover, they'll have charming cracks and missing bits. I think they'll make lovely conversation pieces and can use them for keys when I walk in the door, or all three as candy dishes.

Who cares if the have holes and can't hold liquid? There are so many other things I could use them for!

I recieved a WONDERFUL package from Koreena! Two coffee mugs with Pride and Prejudice quotes, and a candy bowl!

Sadly, all were broken when I recieved them. The Post Office will do nothing, and it would make me sad if Koreena saw her hard work all smashed up. So instead of posting pics I'll tell you of their awesomeness.

The mugs and tray were white and had a quote on each:

How awesome is that?!
She also sent a gold headband (yay!) and lots of candy and a white chocolate rose. Mmmmmmm.

Hi! I'm Stephanie. I live in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan and love it to death! I'm 23, live with my parents and help take care of them, and am starting my own photography business. I also have an Etsy store with vintage finds and random crafts. I have one cat, Izzy, whom I adore, and one dog, Maddy. Some of my favorite things are Doctor Who, England, Scotland, vintage mermaid-ish stuff, sea glass, vintage cameras, music, hand-made journals, vintage books, poetry, The Avengers, and more Dcotor Who.

My favorite color is kelly green, but I love blues, greens, yellows, oranges, and greys. I really do NOT like pink, purple, or red. Not a big fan of pastels either. I paint, draw, sew, build, and do nearly everything but crochet and knit. I'd prefer to not get any wall art or wall hangings. I'm an artist and my walls are so full of canvas I have to do the painting shuffle everytime i want to hang up some new art. Feel free to interperet on anything except the clothes. Those I'd like to be spot on.

The thread on my sewing machine keeps breaking, it works for about 2 inches then it snaps. I think I've found the problem but I'm not sure how to fix it.

I was sewing on a dress, and didn't know it had boning in the bodice. When I was sewing I hit the boning and my needle broke. I replaced it and avoided the boning. But now everytime I try to keep sewing, the thread breaks like I mentioned. It looks like the needle is rubbing on the metal plate where it picks up the bobbin thread and wears out the thread in a few passes. I've replaced the needle, thread, and tried many suggestions on how to fix it.

Is there any way to fix this problem? I'm in the middle of a very large project and have another waiting. Its very frustrating. I'm reasonably new to using a sewing machine and have been troubleshooting all over the place. Any help would be appreciated.
