1  FIBER ARTS / Felting: Completed Projects / Orange Yellow Black Needle Felted Necklace on: October 08, 2014 08:56:37 AM
This is actually the second variation on this style of necklace. My first version was in greens - just nice by subtle color variations and no embroidery. For this one I decided to try some bolder colors and some simple patterns with embroidery floss. I had to go looking for beads since I didn't have anything that really worked. I was glad to find the black, glossy beads. They offer a great texture contrast with the fiber.

I still haven't decided if I should call these shapes "petals" or "leaves" or what - maybe you can help me decide?

2  FIBER ARTS / Felting: Completed Projects / Donut Brooch - needle felt on: September 02, 2014 04:15:42 AM
An inspired by polymer project. This is a great shape for combining different colors, designs and embellishment. I expect I will be making many variations using this form in the next few weeks.

3  FIBER ARTS / Felting: Completed Projects / Spiked Necklace - needle & wet felting on: August 27, 2014 01:15:06 PM
Have been working on this (and variations) this past week.

Used very "tribal" colors for this particular necklace, but have been doing experiments with a lot of different color combinations. Not certain that I will spend the time to make enough for necklaces of all the variations, but probably will do at least one more.
4  FIBER ARTS / Felting: Completed Projects / Bluebird on Nest Hollow Brooch on: August 05, 2014 01:29:31 PM
I've been doing a lot of Hollow Brooches - this is one I finished this morning.

5  FIBER ARTS / Felting: Completed Projects / Frankie - Russian Blue on: July 27, 2014 09:07:27 AM

A cat portrait of Frankie who suffers bouts of baldness now and then. Doing his tummy wrinkles was fun!!! =^..^=

He's about 9" from toe to ear.
6  FIBER ARTS / Felting: Completed Projects / Steampunk Needlefelted Hollow Brooch on: June 01, 2014 08:37:29 AM
Working on ideas for another class - this is just one of many variations that I have done. I rather liked the contrast of the metal gears with the fiber.

7  FIBER ARTS / Felting: Completed Projects / Another Dragon on: March 18, 2014 04:32:57 AM
I did this a while ago, but I don't believe I ever posted him here!

He was a fun project and now belongs to my son. I keep hoping that I will find time to do more dragons, but I always have so many other things I need to do. One of these days!!

This dragon lives in our office so I get to see him regularly at least! =^..^=
8  FIBER ARTS / Felting: Completed Projects / More Jellyfish Brooches on: February 20, 2014 02:50:35 PM

Working on some ideas for another class. This is one of the experiments. =^..^=
