I like it Synne! I've been coveting that sweater myself. The pattern is only $10 - not bad for a designer pattern. I might put it on my project list for fall/winter. It's almost too hot for it here already. Keep us posted Synne! Smiley

Don't know if this will work for you. But it's a nice simple camisole with lace on the edges. I think it would look amazing in black with white trim.

This is the same lady who designed the soleil from the spring knitty, which I am working on right now.

Wow! Don't let my 5yo see that. He'll be placing an order with me for the Batman costume.

Perfect! Thank you so much!
15  CLOTHING / Clothing: Discussion and Questions / Batman Mask/Hat for a 5yo? on: April 11, 2005 07:53:14 AM
My 5yo has a new obsession. Batman. So he wants a mask. Online they are not cheap. So I think I could sew him one - maybe out of black felt? I've done some paper piecing to try to sketch out a pattern, but it's not coming together very easily. Can anyone help?? TIA!

Oh wow. That's right close to where I live. The meetup on the 20th is at 7pm at the Panera Bread on Blanding Blvd. The Barnes & Noble would be a nice place to meet. I almost went there tonight to peruse the knitting books/mags.

I was there on Sunday! Were you the one who had the white bean burger recipe? If not, can you get me in touch with the girly who did. My family needs more variety! Smiley

You'll probably get a better response if you post this in discussions and questions. Smiley

That said, can you get a copy of Kids Knitting from your local library? There is an owl puppet pattern in there, that is very simple. I wouldn't know where to start on a hedgehog though.

Lubee - I'm pretty much a newbie, having only started at Christmastime, but I've pretty well got the hang of it, so I'd be glad to try to teach you. I've also got a "I taught myself knitting" booklet that I don't use at all anymore, that I'd be glad to pass onto you. There's a SnB via meetup going on I think on April 20th via meetup, if you wanna try to shoot for that.

I found a good deal on ebay for some of the Allure (pink) Rowan 4-ply. 10 balls for $30 plus $12 shipping. Still debating on whether to order it though. For the XL or the XXL size, would someone mind telling me how many balls she recommends?
