1.thanks to all u and leah for making this my very first featured project! (w00t!)

2. Im sorry, but i am not going to post a tut. cuz im wayyyy to lazy, and i kind winged it in the first place. if u want i can scan the pattern for u guys under 2 conditions:

you dont steal it and use it for profit (cuz its mine). and you have show me your cute creations!!(they don't have to have pockets and butt grommets if you dont want them)

3. my friend wasn't able to use him because her mom stopped her!!! (i know... boo)

4. (finally!) the zipper was yellow cuz i was not paying attention and didnt buy a zipper at the store...

thanks again for the sweet comments and everything! i love craftster!!!
4  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / junk from the thrift store=cute earrings on: July 07, 2007 12:35:55 PM
i haven't made jewelry in the longest time, but these things that i found at the thrift store where just asking to be made into cute earrings!
i don't know what the bears are supposed to be, but they are made of a rubbery-type material and are hollow on the inside (which made them easy to drill a hole through.)

the martini glass earrings where made from poker chips!

after finding all this great stuff to make into jewelry i was wondering, Where do you guys find your stuff to make into jewelry?

6  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / land of 10,000 lakes=new swim suit on: June 20, 2007 04:47:39 PM
i have this ridiculous amount of backlogged projects, so please bear with me.. Wink

this is my first successful swim suit! unfortunately, two days after the pictures where taken, i mysteriously lost the top.

the hello kitty fabric was a jersey knit that i salvaged from some pyjama pants. the purple was just from the fabric store.
it is fully lined (with what ever swim suit lining fabric is called)

here is the embarrassing shot (the only full sized shot i could get...)

my floor modeling it...

up close of the hellokitty patch on the butt...
7  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / Black chiffon dress: my application for art school (super cool) on: June 20, 2007 04:05:48 PM
This is the project that i made for my application to (visual) art highschool!
My assignment was to make a piece of art work based on the words: tension, shadow, liquid, and some other things i don't remember.
it has four parts;
outer dress, made of black chiffon
under dress, made of silvery knit stuff (a bitch to sew)
a corset, made of crappy black fabric and HUGE grommets
obi belt, made of red satin

if you guys want i can take a better picture of each piece

the front halter top twists in the back and the halter straps lace the corset. (its hard to see in the picture)

what do you guys think?
ps: i made it in to the school ; ) I'm going there next fall.

im new to screen printing and i would really like to try it over the summer. But im broke. Sooooo.... does anyone have ideas of how to get "good" screen printing materials for less?

i need:
screens (whats the best fabric?)
frames (what material is best, and can i get it for less?)
light source (if it's the sun, any tips?)
squeegy,
emulsion,
paint,
and anything else that i might need (and can get with out going bankrupt)

 ;Dthanks a bunch! Grin
