Daddy working + baby napping = Mommy crafting!

Working on the something for big sister right now... Although it's sorta for Mama too... a sanity saver I think.

It wasn't the HUGE sessions you see some ladies write about... I made a HUGE batch of beans... Set 'em to soak, feed the baby, rinse 'em, scoop some out to freeze for cooking later, set the rest to cooking, feed the baby, drain 'em, season some and freeze, put the rest in the crockpot for refried beans, feed the baby... The next day he actually took a nap and I managed to cook some meat and make burritos & biscuits and freeze them.

Can't craft on the weekend or I would be working right now... DH raises a HUGE stink if I sew while he's watching TV because my machine is old & loud...

Actually... *heads off to find the stuff needed for my big sister project*

Sorry I kinda fell off the map... We were going through the fussies... Days when I couldn't do ANYTHING because he was in rock-me mode. ALL day. Sit him down for more than 3 seconds and the grunting starts... Grunting continues for 2-3 minutes and then the crying starts. I think we're over the hump now... He's settling into a routine that actually includes a nap. I've managed to get in 2 good stretches of freezer cooking over the past few days! So I reckon I'll get my crafting finished this coming week. I can already tell I'll be a few days late on sendout though... Paydays are Mondays so I won't have postage until the 30th unless I get a couple of good paid surveys between now & then.

Well, I'm still being optimistic, but I'm worried my other packages won't reach in time for me to join   Sad  But i just had a question for some of you mommies!  this is my 5th and I've always been really quick and pretty easy in childbirth, but now I'm 34 weeks and she is STILL TRANSVERSE!!!!!  I don't think she wants to turn!!  My Dr told me I have til 36 weeks for her to turn and I have an ultrasound appt on May 9th to check, but if she doesn't turn, what then?? Am I going to have to have a c-section? I really don't want to with my last one. I never had any complications really before, but she definetly is a stubborn one!! lol  I think she just wants to make her mark. Wink

Google Spinning Babies! I've heard that their techniques have a really good track record.

I wanted to sign up for this swap, but as I'm limited to one my first go 'round I ended up choosing to craft for behbeh instead of hubby...

So once packages start rolling in I'm gonna be stalking to get ideas for Father's day and birthday LOL!

Excited to see what you crafty folks can come up with... Especially anything Christian metal!

This little monster is growing SO fast!

So the sizes need updating already LOL!

He's still in Newborn for the most part, but anything with pants involved needs to have an extra inch added. He's LONG legged like his mama. And anything summery might as well be made 0-3 month but slim.

So after much deliberation I've decided to join this swap. It's really hard picking just one LOL! The fabric scavenger hunt was super tempting, as were "Spring is for Metal", Steampunk, & Dr Who.

The deciding factor was going into labor 3 weeks early and delivering a BOY when we had been expecting a GIRL all along!

The look on my Dr's face was PRICELESS! And then the panic set in as we had no name for him and no clothes to bring him home in. Whoopsie.

Luckily a name was found before they sent us home, and a good friend's brother has a little boy about 3 months older...

Now though, all the lovely crafting mommy did for Eleanor is the wrong color for poor Elliott... So if I get to send to a mama expecting a girl I have a BUNCH of extras LOL!

LOL... My machine is older than I am, has frequent tension problems, constant crooked feed issues, and any stitch length setting less than 3 just stitches in place... I only paid $35 for it though...
