Yep, the bulkiness issue was a challenge!
I first layered the three organza pieces and sewed them together along the top. I inserted the pearl and leaf chain in between the first and second organza pieces and sewed them in place. Then I sewed a jump ring so that half of it peaked over the top of the organza layers. I then sewed another strip of organza perpendicular to the earrings near the top.

I wrapped the perpendicular organza piece around the top of the earrings a few times, tucked the end in and sewed it down. I slipped the jump ring through the earring hooks and ta-da!

I first watched the movie Labyrinth when I was a child, and I was totally enchanted. I loved the magic, the adventure, the friendships, and (in my teen years) David Bowie! I re-watched the film recently and was struck by Sarah's very 80s, but very beautiful masquerade ball getup. Her hairpiece is especially pretty and I wanted to recreate it in the form of earrings.



I bundled together silvery organza ribbon, wire wrapped pearls, rock quartz and sterling silver leaves. They're quite long and sway and sparkle very prettily.

I think I'll give spray adhesive a try, and do 2 thin mod podge coats on top.

Hi everyone!

I made these collage cards for my friends a while back, using pressed lilac flowers, magazine cutouts, stickers and my own photos.

I'm quite new to collage making, and I used mod podge to glue and 'varnish' the images. The blank cards I affixed everything to ended up a bit wrinkled and wavy on the edges. Is there a way to avoid this, perhaps by using a different product to varnish the finished product? I like printing out photos I've taken to make the cards more personal, so I'm also worried about bleeding (I have an inkjet printer).

Thanks everyone! I wish I wore them more often, but I'm just so lazy with my hair..Once winter's over, I'll swap my hat for the sparkly clips!

I made a couple of jewelled barrettes by wire-wrapping peridot rondelles, garnet rounds and pearls with base-metal wire. I especially like the peridot and garnet one - it's so sparkly and it's a bit retro because of the checker-board pattern.







It was a bit difficult getting the wire around the underside of the barrettes, but it think they turned out nicely

The floral pattern on the first skirt is so pretty!

Use 20 or 22 gauge wire for your French Hooks. Though you will work harden the ear wires, use half-hard wire anyway.
